This White-Dressed Woman Is Assumed To Be Dead, But Other People Still See Her In The Deep Forest...

Welcome to Movie Shortens. In the year 1846, three shipwrecked sailors drift through the mist toward an island somewhere in the British Isles. It appears to be abandoned, but they meet an old harbor man, his niece, a farmer, with his insane niece, and they are all behaving strangely. The four locals are harboring a dark secret, and are reluctant to let the sailors off the island. Mythical monsters, scary things washing up on the shores, haunted forests, conjuring spirits and murder permeates this story that unravels a curse impossible to escape.

Oliver getting away annoys me to all get out! He starts his character story by stealing a book/ledger from the people who have them shelter and food.... ignores all the recommendations... including removing the dang earplugs. I like to believe the siren just let the island go free and made everyone believe he got away. And really he is just trapped on a new island.

WoW! What’s so crazy about these men not wanting a young man put to death bc of his drunken “mistake”? Is that that shit really happens! Did his victim deserve death and/or r@pe? I feel like if you say the person that committed a crime shouldn’t have his life fckd up for a “mistake” means you think the person isn’t a victim and “they got what they deserved” Great Recap! I don’t feel like I missed anything. I actually wanted to see this til the r@pe/ murder. It’s common for fiction stories to include things that actually happen in our world. Most writers write what they know about. Even some of the most outlandish worlds will include events that happen in our world (sex and/or love, family bonds, wars, whatever). In this particular movie the writer didn’t need to include something so horrid to create a pissed off spirit. The thing is she had every right to be pissed off. After what MOST women would consider having the worst thing done to them, she doesn’t get any justice AND in her death is perceived as the “bad guy”. Um.... NOPE! bc since she didn’t get the right to choose who she loved and she wasn’t allowed to live in peace, after her death she doesn’t receive justice thus she can’t rest in peace so she becomes vengeful. Makes sense to me. However, I’d prefer to watch something else. But the recap is appreciated bc had I come across this movie then I might’ve watched and I’d be greatly upset. I save so much time, energy, and even movie thanks to recap

I was gonna name my youngest daughter Persephone 1 because her dad name is Preston and 2 because my 2 oldest children Isis and Osiris are Egyptian God and Goddess so I wanted to find another Goddess name. I ended up naming her Iris (which like Persephone is a Greek Goddess) because people reading her name would screw it up unless they know how to pronounce it. Also my youngest son name is Adonis
