Dusk Lobber on its own is alright, but when you have a couple columns of the powered ones, their splash is too good to ignore. It's literally the same radius as a Cherry Bomb's explosion. That's why so many people like her. Also, please don't put lobbers in the front. That's when their projectile speed is the worst and are the weakest overall.

Dusk lobber, even with it being low level, is arguably one of the best plants from adventure when powered by moon flower Nice damage and great area control and if you have a Conceal mint it becomes ridiculously cracked

The shadow peashooter is one of my favorite plants to use, as when it’s boosted, it essentially becomes laser bean but better. Plus, zombies cannot eat it! I highly recommend using it… after adventure because it’s a premium…

I use dusk lobber pretty often, but later down the road when you'll be able to use premium plants, shadow vine and shadow shroom are both plants that will make the defensive and offensive abilities of shadow plants look amazing compared to now

BIG props to completing the Gargantuar level without using powerups, I can do the BWB one fine but I've NEVER done this one without using power ups. I shunned Dusk Lobber for a while, but a whole column of them is basically an unstoppable splash pandemonium, as LONG as they're powered. Meaning she's pretty terrible in Last Stand and many Arena levels. 6:51 FINALLY you realised it. 7:15 LMAO love the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing reference. Awesome game

Wolfy, trust me, the moonflower is actually really good! If youre planning on just placing one row of moonflowers, youre not gonna get alot sun If youre planning on placing 2 rows of moonflowers, youre gonna have a lot of spare sun by the end of the level

Just put moonflowers in the middle and spam dusk lobbers on the 2nd and 4th row, that way you can optimize dusk's damage and moonflowers sun production

Wolfy, I'm sorry but you are severely mistaken with the shadow plants. Moonflowers with 2 columns gives you effectively infinite sun production. You just need to manage your early game well enough. Dusk lobber is incredibly powerful being able to target 5 lanes and its absolutely ridiculous that you compared it to the puffshroom. All you need really is a column of moonflowers and 2 columns of dusk lobber and it shreds. And keep in mind you only have it at level 2. All you're other plants are obviously gonna be better due to their higher level. I just see way to much hate for the shadow plants despite them being solid plants. Especially dusk lobber and moonflower, 2 of the strongest plants in the game. People just wanna be contrarians and hate.

When I first ever played modern day level 16, I didn't realise at the time, but I had a boosted winter melon in the zen garden. So I found the level super easy, I decided to replay the level later because I found it fun.. then I realised the difficulty of that level.

Escape root is really OP. The reason to use it is in the name, you can use it to move plants out of danger and put them back in the lane afterwards. Also, it does work on endangered plants, so you can stop worrying about your plant dying, you can just move it away.

If you are looking for good shadow plants, Shadow Peashooter is one of my favorites. You do have to get it via events, but it is really good. Imagine Lazer Bean, Tangle Kelp, and Stallia, all in the same plant, for only 125 sun.

Hey Wolfy, a nice trick to make shadow plants and Moon Flower work SUPER well is to stagger the moon flowers. So first one goes in the second column, top lane. Second goes in the third column, 2nd lane. Third goes in second column, 3rd lane, etc. you get way more shadow spots that way. Three Dusk Lobbers per lane with all of them shooting in 3 lanes? You’re laughing.

Heres the thing about shadow plants. They used to be one of the most powerful plants. NO zombies can get pass any Shadow plants. I played the game before the level up system is a thing, and I remember that they were broken. When I get back into the game they were weaker and I was confuse then I realize that they were nerfed.

The Shadow Plant that is the best powered up is Shadow Peashooter. Its whole gimmick is when its un-powered, it shoots regular peashooter bolts that slow down zombies. When its powered up though, it shoots through the whole lane, like Laser Bean. Shadow Peashooter also drags down zombies that get near him, like a Tangle Kelp, if he's powered up he can do it multiple times. Don't exactly remember the stats on it, but when you use its plant food, it is just OP. If there are 2 Moon Flowers in the lane, it shoots a little bomb at the zombies in the lane, but if there are 3 Moon Flowers, it shoots a Giant Doom-Shroom esque bomb that destroys almost everything. Only downside, its a premium plant that's unlocked through seed packets, which took me forever.

I loved the dusk lobber and it carried me when i first played modern days The set up was 2 rows of lunar flower on the bottom and top and then fill all of those powered spaces with lobbers a Space jonny (with plant food) on the middle with more lobbers and lunar plants behind him and the rest of the slots were single use plants

Dusk lobbers and moon flower are like most other plants, good when you have more than 2 row of them. Put the dusk lobbers on the first lane(closest to the house) and then 2 rows of moon flowers after. The moon flower when powered gives so much more sun than normal, and then you can see how good they really are. And if you want, add another row of dusk lobbers after the moon flowers

I have a moon flower and dusk lobber level 2, and once you have a full collum of moon flower, you can just plant the dusk lobbers in the back and in front of the moon flowers for maxium damage. I also recommend having 2 collumns of moon flowers, one collum of shadow plants in front and another 1 behind them. That way, every moon flower is powered and produce at least 125 sun. Because an unpowered moon flower only produce 25 sun, I recommend using primal potato mine, celery stalker, iceberg lettuce, stallia or primal wall nut to stall zombie. Most of my plants are level 2, with a few of them level 3, and they beat the entire adventure campaign, and seeing that you have tons of coins and gems, you can use them to upgrade your plants faster.

Dusk lobber is good mostly because it does 3x3 splash damage, meaning if everything goes right one in the middle lane could hit every lane at once. If you get enough down the splash damage becomes strong enough to easily shred huge groups of zombies, but the slow recharge does make that difficult sometimes

Wolfy I have a setup that can make Dusk Lubber an actually useful plant. Plant one row of Moonflowers in the second row and put a whole row of Dusk Lubbers on both sides of the Moonflower. The more you spam the more powerful Dusk Lubber will become. He CARRIED me through the rest of Modern Day

So a funny thing about the update the game has done. I need to paint a pretty picture first: I play pvz2 and I'm at the knights world, I don't have any of the other worlds done but I have alot of plant packets to use when I unlock them. When Im in any of the 3 modes you can unlock the plants from other worlds but you need the seed packets required ( like primal was 60) and you have it for the rest of the game.

Wolfy moon flower is the best sun producer In the whole game second to sun shroom+enlightenmint, you just have to start from top middle lane or bottom middle and have 2 columns of 3 moon flowers, you also have to skip the first lane as you are maximizing the output of the shadow plants gimmick, also dusk lobber is really good with splash and its plant food hella destructive and its freqeuntly used in arena, but I can't remember using it in adventure and can't tell if it'll be good or not

Here's how I use the Shadow Plants, I always use the main plants in their worlds when I played it. Moonflower, always place adjacent to each other. Bring cheap stalling plants or instant kills. Nightshade, my stalling plant of choice, can then be powered later and be kept or as your early damage dealer before planting powerful plants. Shadow-shroom, an all clearer with its plant food, useful against tanky zombies. Dusk Lobber, place in rows 2 and 4 with the Moonflower's aura present, covers all lanes early, plant a lot of these. Grimrose, same as Nightshade with the exception for later use since its powered form exterminates 3 non-huge zombies before disappearing

wolfy, the dusk lobber is insane. put it at the back, not the front. thats why you struggled. when you have a few columns of them in powered mode, they are genuinely insane. the splash on it is also really good, unlike some other plants that do splash (pepperpult) also, shadow shroom is good and u should use it more

Wolfy, a powered dusk lobber splashes all 5 lanes (3 lanes, each lane 3x3) and can shred hordes when spammed. It actively becomes better, like bowling bulb when there are more zombies on the screen, its very good for the spammy portal levels

Tip: I would put dusk lobber in the back, moonflower in the middle and night shade in the front. That way dusk lobber can pick off zombies without worrying about death (also use caveman Johnny)
