If you think about it, all four movies, in a weird way, have to be canon or connected in some strange events. Depending on where it connects. So, if the first movie is canon, than it fits in somewhere after the 3rd season or just ‘fits’ in as a missing memory of the events that have happen. I could be wrong, but that’s what I’m kinda thinking from remembering from watching these movies.

Actually Kubo himself said that he prefers the Ulquiorra and Vasto Lorde Ichigo fight in the opening of Hell Verse to the Anime and only drew it the way he did because of quota issues regarding Shonen Jump. He also provided concept art for how he thought it should be

As for fade to black, it doesn’t really have a place in the story and there’s no where we can find to properly fit it into the timeline. Well if I recall correctly, in the movie multiple people stated that they all will lose their memories of the female Soul Reaper because she is part of that area. So essentially the movie’s events technically happened but everyone forgot about it due to how entities from the Valley of Screams aren’t supposed to exist. It reminds me of the Nobodies from Kingdom Hearts, they aren’t supposed to exist but the empty bodies of people still persist to exist despite not having a heart anymore.

The movie takes place between Soul Society arc and Arrancar arc, whereas Aizen destroyed the Cleaner (it came back a week later) during Deicide arc. Of course, the canon events of the movie/Shinenju Incident could be tweaked to better fit the timeline somewhat so who knows.

Kubo liked the movie so much he retroactively declared it canon. He even modeled Ichika Abarai's design after Senna. This is in stark contrast to the Hell verse movie that was supposed to be canon ahead of time, but they didn't stay true to Kubo's vision of Hell, so he's taking it upon himself in a Bleach continuation. The Hell Arc which we only have one chapter of so far.

Kubo has fit bits of non canon material into the manga and make some of it canon. Toshiro's glimpse into his backstory of how he heard Hyorinmaru is part of the manga yet that scene was in the Zanpakuto rebellion arc which was non canon filler, other than the Zanpakuto designs drawn by Kubo himself. We are lucky he puts tiny details like this into bleach, it's a treasure for us old time bleach fans who recognize it.

I'd say that it's canon _to a point._ The same could be said about Hell, but then _No Breathes From Hell_ oneshot came out and completely changed the canonization of Hell. So while the Valley of Screams does exist in the _Bleach_ canon, there can and will be arguments over whether the VoS in the manga/anime is the same as the VoS in the _Memories of Nobody_ movie.
