You can also adhere the top layer of a paper napkin before embossing. Apply glue stick to entire cardstock base then press onto the backside of the napkin and brayer to adhere.

OMG Laurel. OMG & WOW******WOW******WOW!! Your ideas are Beyond Brilliant and a whole lot ingenious!!! I LOVE using my embossing folders and have tons of them yes regular and lots oldies but goodies……lots of 3D folders and Impresslits…etc and your ideas totally blew me away…..can’t wait to do this and even your share using your gel plate….Ives never had a gel,plate because never would do what others (artists) do but fun to watch…but I WOULD do what you shared also LOVE my Distress inks and colored Ink Pads and again never knew about the distress sprays…so will get a few of these ……so I WILL be playing and creating today with what I have and hubby will make a craft store run for me sometime this week!! LOL!!!! I am a die hard scrapper since 2004 and do make cards now and again but love making embellishment for my layouts and emboss lots for my mahouts. Hi Laurel, I was given a Cuttlebug machine a few years ago from my daughter-in-laws Mom, she wasn't able to use it anymore. I wasn't aware we were able to use the 3D bossing folders with it! I am so glad you did a video on this, now I can purchase the 3 D embossing folders, thanks. Joan

Thanks so much! I tried her inks when they first released years ago. They were the first company to come out with inks on a foam pad and I fell in love. I love all the colors and just never felt the need to try anything else as I am so happy with CP inks!

I love the speckled egg one you didn't use - so much potential with a little time. Eg, layer up and/or coat with a coffee wash. I've found embossing makes just about any coloured paper look fab! Thanks so much Laurel :D

Some fun ideas Laurel! My fave is the ink blending one where you have embossed the card, and the brushed over some ink matching the card colour,(or a bit darker) ink over the to of the image. It looks great, and I will try this idea! And yes, I know all about 'swinking'! I watched one your videos about it a couple of years ago, and I still use that technique! Have a fab day🙂xx

TFS. I don’t have many embossing folders & certainly not any 3D ones. Although I don’t have any washi tape, that was my favorite. I too have a cuttlebug & love it. I recently bought the Magic mat to use since my plates are no longer. You are lucky to still have the Cuttlebug plates to use. BTW, appreciate the idea of using what we have especially when all these companies are showcasing their new releases.
