Great video, typically I would just throw the light without thinking of what it’s doing to my shot in my story. I wanna get better at lighting a scene to have motivated lighting To help tell the story.

I always watch your videos. I’m a student and I appreciate all you do and I learn a lot. How did you create the hologram ?

That's amazing! Thank you so much, I'm so glad the videos could help! The hologram was super fun to make but it was definitely a process. First I had to light it so that it looked like the hologram was right in front of me, and I also had to make sure I turned on my light at the same time my hologram appeared on screen. I have a video on how I lit it, I'll leave a link here if you're interested. That was a lot of how I was able to make it work. But in addition to that, I just took a screen recording on my phone as I was scrolling through my channel, I also had to time the scrolling on my phone with what I was doing in the scene, then added the screen recording to the scene in the edit. Then I angled it to match the frame I shot, so that the hologram appeared to be right in front of me. After that I used Lumetri Color in Premiere Pro to give it blueish color and match the lighting I had when shooting the scene. Then I added a mask around it and feathered it out, and lowered the opacity. After that I added a couple of VHS and tube TV overlays to give it more of that holographic look, and completed the same process as I did for the screen recording, in terms of masking and coloring. I also did the same process for when I'm tapping on the holographic screen. And that's it! There was a lot that went into it. I'd love to make a video about how I did it someday, if that would help.
