I ordered some of those hooks from watching Matt’s channel. TN River ledge bass seem to love it. CT is legit.

Glad you like the hooks!

Slayed the giant red ear today and even lucked into a couple 4lb bass. Gotta love the private retirement community lakes in Tn! It will spoil a person for sure.

Nice fish and video! I was rigging the Ozark the same way you were in the video and was tearing up some plastics. Have you tried rigging it the way Stefan does? Much easier and less damage to the baits.
@FishtheMoment6 ай бұрын
I rig it like matt showed on creature baits, but I still like to rig it through the nose on worms.

On vacation in Dallas this week and I found core tackle at scheels. Of course I picked up some Hoover rig and tush hooks.

Great video as always Jonny! I hope you might do a summertime video fishing in standing timber soon. Thanks.

Will do! They haven't set up in the timber on my lakes yet, but they should by July.

I've been throwing the 7" zmans streakz, a big fluke bait for few years now. I've never thrown it on the tush but I catch them good on it

Jonny- did those crankbait fish come on that grind-through-the-bottom retrieve you’ve talked about before?
@FishtheMoment6 ай бұрын
yes! I was digging the bottom the entire cast.

Will your 7/0 tush work with an unrigged magdraft?
@FishtheMoment6 ай бұрын
Yes! I usually add a small nail weight or 2 in the belly to help stabilize it a little bit. It tends to roll without the weights unless you get the hook perfectly straight

You can catch them without looking at them still. 👍🏻

Ide be staying well away from that lake haha. I guess it's what makes Johnny such a hammer.

Yeah Grand Lake bass get pressured like crazy 365 days a year! Makes it more of a challenge though!

1500 boat tourney? My god. That shouldn't even be allowed. No contests for wild game. Of any kind.

Hey man I have a question for you. So a little backstory I just started fishing tournaments with a partner on weeknights an older guy and we just got into the money last week and I’m hooked! we mostly flip and pitch docks and lay down’s and I’ve learned a lot and gained a lot of confidence in that but I wanna be well rounded. On my personal boat I have a Lowrance hook reveal 7 and I’m looking to upgrade to a elite 9 so I have better clarity on side imaging and also have active target capability my question is after watching this video would I be better off to get spot lock on my trolling motor roughly 700 dollar upgrade for my minn kota or put the money toward active target transducer I can really only budget for one or the other currently I’m kinda leaning towards the spot lock after this video what’s your thoughts.
@FishtheMoment6 ай бұрын
If you are not that familiar with using Side Imaging or Down imaging, I would get Active Target. It takes a lot of time on the water (100+ hours) to get really comfortable with side and down imaging. But you can probably see results with forward facing sonar (active target) within a few fishing trips. Spot lock is not necessary either and I fished offshore without it for years. Its more of a convenience than a necessity. I would get active target before spot lock for sure.

I'm nearby in Tulsa. Open invite to join me at Pumpback for big large and smallmouth. It's an eledtric only lake. My skiff has room for two. Outboard electric ePropulsion 3hp and spot lock trolling motor on the bow.
