I don’t understand how eye patches are more cost effective than eye creams? Buying 30 patches a month is still more expensive than eye creams.

Make shift under eye patches using eye cream - put a piece of saran wrap on top and let it sit for 20 minutes.

you can also just buy the reusable eye patches, like deuix? (i don't remember exactly) but you can find reusable undereye patches, apply your serum/moisturizer then put the reusable undereye patches, u can use it again and again!!

I think the idea is that eye creams aren't at all necessary since they're just overpriced moisturizers, so it's a waste to spend any money on them.

Also- if you like under eye patches, but don’t want to create more waste by using disposable under eye patches, Pacifica makes reusable under eye patches that you can put on after putting a serum under your eyes to lock in the product or if you just want the feeling of under eye patches. I love them!!

Eye creams are like serums - you use them to meet a specific need. If all you need is moisture, then sure use your face cream. But if you have hereditary dark circles, bags, etc. then active ingredients like vitamin K are the reason you’d buy them. As someone who relies on eye cream to look alive, I can assure you they are useful when used intentionally.

What if you need to use them every morning? I use the Clinique men's eye roller(because there is more caffeine in theirs)been using it for years, but I'd be open to a less expensive patch option if there was one. Under eye treatment is definitely on my daily must list!

I’m 45, and as of yet, facial moisturizers have not been enough to really hydrate and smooth my under-eye area, or they sting my eyes. My eyes are ‘extra,’ and I’ve had great results with certain eye creams. I have tried said eye creams on other areas of my face in hopes of multi-tasking, but they broke me out. So, I have personally had better results using separate formulas for facial moisturizers and eye creams. ❤

You suggested gold eye patches from Amazon a few months ago around $20-$30 bucks and they actually created wrinkles and puffiness under my eyes. My under eye area actually looked better before using them. I decided to stop purchasing them. I'm hoping that I can reverse the damage.

It seems like it would be helpful to people (me included) to say why undereye patches are better than eye cream, because it seems like a lot of people disagree. You’re saying undereye cream is just moisturizer, while the patches are?

eye cream is excellent UNLESS you know exactly what is your concern and you know exactly that you have an active that can target your concern in your eye cream. Eye patch is a luxury for sure. like a face mask, some reusable, some aren't. if you enjoy both eye cream and eye patch, get a reusable ones and put them on top of your eye cream when you want it. whatever your choice is, just stick to what suits you the best. in the end of the day, do what makes you enjoy your skincare routine. it's personal.

You are very fortunate that you can use the same creams and or lotions around your eyes. But can we move on this is said constantly. I have sensitive skin and my eyes are extremely sensitive. I use products that don’t result in my eyes swelling shut. I have found only a few products I can safely use around my eyes. The same for sunscreens. I can use chemical sunscreens on my neck and ears but mineral sunscreens are used on my face because of the issues I have with my eyes. We don’t all fit in one box.

I know you didnt ask me but I also have adhd and have done an immense amount of research, the three most important things I'd say is the basics: 1- serum or essence. 2- moisturizer. 3- sunscreen. ❣️❣️

I also have ADHD and love skincare :) my recommendation for the end of the day: 1. A cleansing oil or balm to get off any sunscreen and/or makeup left on your face (Softlymo Speedy Cleansing oil is great and inexpensive) 2. A cleanser (CeraVe and Cetaphil have great options) 3. A moisturizer (again, CeraVe and Cetaphil have great basic moisturizers that aren't expensive)

Cassandra, I love you...but unfortunately you're wrong about moisturisers being ok for your undereyes. The skin under your eyes is much thinner, therefore moisturisers can be too rich for some people. ESPECIALLY people like myself...skin of colour! Check out @Dr Vanita Rattan who explains this very well.
