I have this idea of a country ran by oligarchs and they have their own companies and money so what they do is they marry down so they can't threaten the status quo and the reason they do this is because two of our guards got married close the small Civil War and they want to avoid that

Funny, all Earth has the Cidan Mashada triadic marriages with the culture of the United Kingdom of Musical Instruments, although it isn’t exactly the same. To begin with, each person is not equally married to two others. The relationship between a person and an instrument, that presumably being a person of the “same” sex, is really called “musicianship” and does not preclude normally male-female marriage of the musician or the instrument precisely because the culture assumes that people and instruments of opposite sexes will bother practically little with each other that directly outside of the children of their parents’ instruments and even that the males won’t want it enough to initiate. Musicianship also practically precedes homosexuality proper, that typically being two men or two males of the same instrument, or more precisely, quite literally renders it “masturbation with extra steps”.
