Surya's catch was a triple whammy - got rid of the most impactful batter, stopped a six and made it a dot ball. And ofcourse the psychological impact on the team of a catch like that.

Not quite. Agreed on #1 and #3 but SKY first caught the ball in the field of play. If he had not got there in time, it would have been a one-bounce 4. The only way it would have been a 6 is if he had muffed it over the rope, or stepped on the tobelerone in his follow through with the ball in hand. As we all saw, he expertly tossed the ball up as he went out. Remarkable effort, in that he didn't disturb the sponge in either direction - I suspect it would have been okay if he had, as long as the ball was still up in the air.

Australia doesn't play Afghanistan, hasn't toured Bangladesh for more than a decade, same with West Indies. So other than these journos, no one complains about BCCI either as all of them realise that BCCI is helping their boards far more than other rich boards

Put a mic in her face or a pen in her hand or a laptop in her arms and you can be rest assured she will draw some link between whatever it is she wants to discuss and the BJP government and the BCCI and how it's the next coming of Hitler and what not. She is NOT a journalist. She is an opinionist and it's time we stop giving this nonsense a voice.

I am so happy that I chanced upon this channel. I have always admired Anuradha's work and Sharda Ugra is one of the best writers on the game. Lovely conversation. Thank you.

The match was decided by how both teams played pace bowling. India scored 111 off 13 overs. Kohli scored at a strike rate of 155 versus pace. On the other hand, the South African players, born and brought up playing on pitches that favour pace, scored 58 off 66 deliveries. You could only make up so much against spin. At the halfway point, people were not sure of Kohli's knock, but I felt it was like a Marlon Samuels-like knock in a T20I World Cup Final. It felt clutch to me. Thankfully, the bowlers and fielders defended that total, because otherwise, it would have been such a shame if India had lost after the tremendous rescue effort by Kohli, Axar, and Dube. Bumrah is magnificent; he always delivers no matter what. Nobody deserved the player of the match, by the way. Bumrah, rightly, the player of the tournament.

Ms. Ugra did a fine job contradicting herself. Called BCCI a bully, then highlighted its contribution towards Afghanistan cricket; brought up Vaughan's quote on scheduling, then noted that all countries had agreed to the proposed schedule! P.S. I expect a cricket journalist to know the number of runs needed when Miller went for that six.

Sharda has been a great journalist but has been so consumed by hatred of Modi govt that it clouded all her commentary. The players think BCCI is great for them as they are protected and are making money, so does women's team as well as first class players. Even retired players are covered under a basic pension plan now. Women have played Tests against Aus, Eng and SA now which wasn't happening for a decade They have more freedom to take families along.

Bro I didn't even hear a minute of her spiel. It's time to give it back to her liberalism nonsense. I paused the video, commented and am upping your comment as well cos she literally needs to know her audience is NOT here for political opinions

Oh not this woke woman again. Leaving this comment in pure hatred against a biased sports journalist who infuses political opinions in every single piece she puts together. I made it 1 min in, and wanted to specifically leave this comment to let her know she is hated.

In ODI world cups it is ultimately Australia vs Who Only those teams that could beat Australia in knockouts could eventually win World Cup Sri Lanka in 1996(Final) India in 2011(QF) England in 2019(SF)
