You do realize that if you are only counting on 5 innings a start from him you are going to tax the bullpen. Thats the same situation that you had this past year. You want length from your starters and ones that can command the strike zone, meaning NO WALKS.

They have a deep bullpen...they would be fine having Butto being the arm after him on days he pitches...you can't expect him to be a 6-7 inning guy most of the year after not starting

@@MetsDaily Butto was inconsistent. He started off well & tailed off as the year went by. Youre willing to put your faith in him? 5 innings will tax the BP, even with the supposed depth they have. Their starters need to be efficient which means no 25-30 pitch innings. He has to throw strikes just like all the starters. It killed them last year. Ideally you want what DeGrom would give you, but there are very few like that. Its for this reason, I didnt want Severino or Quintana back.

Going to be interesting to see if Degrom has one year left in him. 36 second Tommy John surgery. If Rangers remain healthy they are winning division hands down.
