Jason Williams was one of the most exciting players in the history of the NBA. His iconic Elbow Pass, something that no one had ever seen before, stunned hoopers all over the world, a skyrocketed Jason into stardom.
Join me as we dissect how Jason Williams went from living in small town Belle, West Virginia, growing up with future NFL superstar Randy Moss, to attending Florida alongside Billy Donovan, to losing his scholarship, to making the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, their epic battles with the Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers, to his eventual trade to the Memphis Grizzlies, playing under legendary coach Hubie Brown and General Manager Jerry West, to his trade to the Miami Heat thanks to Shaquille O'Neal, then winning the 2006 NBA Championship, to finally rounding out his career with the Orlando Magic and the Memphis Grizzles.
White Chocolate, or sometimes known as the Eminem of the NBA, was truly one of the best passers in NBA history, and his style of play is something NBA fans would love to see return.

I've been made aware by a few commenters that DuPont was playing in the *West Virginia State Championship* not the National Championship. My mistake! Also, subtitle lovers, I've moved them to the "closed caption" section, that way you as the viewer can choose if you have them on or not. They are still custom made and not AI generated by KZbin. Thank you guys as always for watching, much love

Bro stop using AI for your scripts. Later on your AI script will say “Nick Anderson knows little about the college game” He went to University of Illinois. He went to a final four. He is on Illinois ALL CENTURY COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAM this is embarrassing. There are more mistakes but this is even more egregious than the national championship Just sit down and write a script and do research. It takes an hour

@@rhodimusrime6737just fuck the lazy ass AI scripts and narrators anyway. Everything on KZbin sounds like spam phone calls from telemarketers who cant read or write English. At this point as soon as I can tell it's AI generated content, Im done with the channel period. Honestly saying anybody pro who played D1 doesn't know anything about college game is just flat out stupid. Like how tf do you make a video about the NBA and not know who Nick Anderson is?

Great doc on one of my favorite players. You failed to mention the Kings were cheated out of a trip to the finals by the referee who was throwing games and later went to prison! Yes, I am a real fan of the kings and remember watching that series against the Lakers and saying what gabe are the refs watching? Years later I got redemption.

I have been watching basketball since I was a very young man. My dad and I try to watch every warriors game we can. A few years back, Curry had made an incredible behind the back pass and my dad and I started talking about the greatest passers of all time. When he told me about White Chocolate, I didn't believe him. I've seen so many edits of great passers spanning generations and never once had heard of this white guy on the kings. When I witnessed his highlight reel myself, I was shocked. From that day forward, I have put him in my top 5 all-time passers. I'm glad to see him start getting the recognition he deserves for his creativity and court vision. Absolute deep cut

Thanks for posting this video. J Williams definitely deserves to be on the list of top ten point guards to ever play. I spent years as a young man watching this guy and he was always amazing to see. More than once Jason Williams made me think he should have been on the Globetrotters. Some of his passes were simply mind blowing but what was even more impressive which this video illustrates, is Jason's desire and willingness to improve. Not just for himself but for his teammates. Too many great players simply refused to do this. It's great that Jason was able to get a ring before he retired too. Truly an excellent player.

Sure his stats aren’t great but it’s his skills that were so elite. He was unlucky mostly as he played vs elite teams like Stockton/Malone Jazz, Kobe/Shaq Lakers, Duncan/Robinson Spurs, etc. But glad he got his ring.

White Chocolate is the truth. The man is always humble & when someone try's to give him credit Jason always makes sure his teammates get it as well making him a real class act. I have no problems with J-Will being in the top 10 because of his skill set, unselfish play style, 1 of only 3 NBA players to play the game with the streetball style play successfully that I know of plus he is an NBA champion. The only other 2 are Allen Iverson & LaMelo Ball. Jason Williams said in an interview Rafer Alston could have done what he did probably better unfortunately for Rafer he was handcuffed by his coach not allowing him to play like that. I remember that NBA Championship Miami Heat Vs Mavericks like it was yesterday. I live in DFW and went to game one of Dallas home games with terrible seats. We were devastated by the loss but since Jason Williams got a ring it made it tolerable. Not to take anything away from the Heat, but the truth is the truth the NBA commissioner and Mavericks owner at each other's throat because they couldn't control Mark Cuban who said and did as he pleased. When it looked like the Mavs were going to run away with the finals suddenly the officiating just flip flopped with every call going the other way no matter how blatant it was didn't matter the more obvious the better to make an example out of Cuban you get out of line it will cost you big. Ask Mark Jackson when he openly admitted the NBA cheats by the use of official's whistle, and the Commissioner slapped him with an enormous fine & suspended him. We would see this exact scenario repeat with Jeff Vangundy and the Commissioner made a side note concerning him that if he did it again, he would be suspended permanently. When people say the refs cannot change the outcome of a game haha shit they can tilt the balance the other way easily just ask the Mafia who had at least 3 NBA refs in their pockets in the early 2000s fixing games raking in a fortune for them until they got busted being too greedy.

So lucky that I watched Williams' in his era, one of my favorites alongside with Nash, and Kidd. Named my son after him.

Great content. J-will had some memorable highlights that’ll forever be remembered and was a solid NBA player. If you ever get the chance, it would be nice to see a video on his replacement in Sacramento (Mike Bibby).

He should've gone to at least one All-Star game. Some dudes go when they really shouldn't just because of their name and what they did earlier in their career.

His humility was always such a contrast to the amazing skill he displayed. And yeah, I think we've ALL tried that elbow pass at least once. 😂

11:57 seconds in a "NO" look bullet pass? Maybe Mr play by play needs to not make NO look commentary because I don't think he could have looked deeper into his eyes.

I love how fitting it is that with the narrator's accent it sounds like every time they call him a "Guard" it sounds like a "GOD" =) And some of those passes are way too perfect, mind blowing not only his accuracy but his team mates receiving. He would be on my basketball Mount Rushmore.
