Great video! Thanks for sharing. I just bought a used Xotic Wah from Ebay and mine has the same problem with the felt/switch not activating.

Get a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe or an MXR CAE or a Teese RMC - I heard about this-happening = numerous times on this particular Wah-pedal.

Got mine NEW today. Same issue with it not activating. Might have to adjust something.

the problem is the throw is too big. a simple pad over top of the felt cures it. look at how much it takes for the switch to get pushed in. I reached out to the mfg and they don't even claim there is an issue but they did say to adjust the nut on the switch

I have an Xotic XW-1 and the soft switch is a royal PITA. Would it be possible to replace the soft switch with a traditional switchcraft switch like on the Teese RMC style wah pedals? I need the switch to have a hard click.

I don't like it either. It is a momentary switch that activates a relay circuit. You would have to modify the circuit to get it to work with a regular switch. Also I don't know if its just me but it seems like there is a small delay for it to activate when switching it on.

Why not push the switch with your finger instead of the pedal and feel it?

Not why you pay $280. I could jog to work too- but I paid for my convenient car.

@@MOAB-UThe took the thing to pieces, I think pressing a switch on the outside by hand would be easy in comparison dummy. And I wouldn't buy one anyway, they're shit

There is literally nothing to feel. It uses a relay genius. It does not click- much like your brain. He could have done that to test it which yes, I would have. My brain clicks.

@@johnelcanrab2114 You were not clear. If you said, best to test it by pushing the switch- fine. You did not say that. They are not sh*t. You are just jealous because you cannot afford one. I have this same one- bought new and it sound great. The relay on/off mechanism is silky smooth and it plays well with other pedals given the on-board buffer. Stick to playing your video games son.
