Well first of all you should lease a horse for e few years to get the feel of owning a horse you would be taking care of the horse and learning responsibility for it and if you think its not much pressure or hard work for you to take care of your horse you should be ready to know when you can buy your own horse!

You have to have quite a bit of money saved, though, incase your horse/pony develops a medical condition and if you don't have enough money, you are forced to put your animal down or to sleep, which is very sad and heartbreaking to the owner who has builded an immense bond with the animal, and to the animal since they couldn't live a full life.
