Thanks for making me even more excited for this one. I'll play just as soon as whatever European distribution logistical issues get worked out, i.e. the shop I ordered from months ago actually gets it from their distributor. I strongly feel we will be leaving the obelisk firmly in place. We love theme, even when it's not always convenient. And after all, obelisks have been standing up to the tests of time in so many parts of the world.

I enjoyed this on TTS... but in the short time it's been out, I've seen two people post pictures of them playing this game irl and they've removed the obelisk and placed it on the side of the board because some players couldn't see the available dice. Not only is that thing unnecessary, it makes the game less playable. For that reason, and a couple others, I am really on the fence on this one.

@@taylorperkins6089 I think there are some things they could have done with the graphic design of the board that would have improved the flow of the game. Some things on the player references that seemed like the obvious choice to put directly on the board. And then completing the secret goals seemed like a MUST. Two people had been fighting over the area that I needed to use for my secret goal. Instead of getting involved in that slap-fight, I decided to focus on other things. When we revealed our bonuses, the designer was mind-boggled as to why I did not have it done. To him, it was unthinkable, and the bonus/base-score ratio seemed a bit high.
