My experience with Quik was on Shoup and VanOwen. Two cars in front of me, one bumpin Safe + Sound out of like a Regal or MC, and the black SUV rolled the window down and said something out of the window. Homie in the car turned the music down. Driver in the black SUV climbs out and walks over to the other car to his left. It's Quik and he thanks homie for reppin his music. They dapped it up. Light changes and rolled out. Made dudes day, and it upped my respect for Quik in a major way.

Trust no" is one of my favorite beats by Quick a track called trust no" born and raised in Compton album was so huge in Memphis i years later digging thru a crate of records, stumbled across the Isaac hayes album that he got that sample from and realized that he knew more about music from my own hometown then i did? We were dancing our butts off to the Memphis sound and didnt even know it. Man i tell you this guy is a Genuis. Hes is the only guy that make beats just as good as Dre if not better. The dedication track on the end of the album born and raised in Compton album was so hard. Or from the safe and sound album a song called "just like compton" the beat is so dope on that joint. I look up to people like Quick and MC Ren Dame Dash. Worth more in reputation then there networth,or then what is credited. A billion dollar nigga with a few million. Like the underdog. Love quik, but I think it's clear the dude has some deep DEEP seated issues. As for some saying he technically didn't want his daughter/wishes she was never born- I think the whole condom comment was him moreso saying that he wishes he had worn a condom so that he didn't have to conceive her through those circumstances.
