Without addressing the human hardship on both sides of the border, whether big pharma, poor job opportunities, access to education, cost of living, cost of health care, etc... the drug problem will never stop. But these things take generations to take effect and require reforms in healthcare and labour among other things, but people always want to fix everything with a gun. A gun can solve a bad situation in the moment, but it does not fix the cause of all the problems.

BIG PHARMA started the current opioid crisis. Thanks to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval of Purdue Pharma's blockbuster OxyContin and the government that did nothing for a long time, and when it finally did, was a slap on the wrist to the industry. Stop blaming others and fix the problems this side of the border who are the big drug dealers here? When are they going after them? Let’s work on our side, before we want to cross the line. If there’s no buyers and drugs dealers in our side, there’s no business on the other side and therefore problem.

Touching on the terrorist organization question. Rocco mentioned we should try and work with the Mexican government regarding the Cartels, but just before that indicate that the Cartels are not necessarily seen in a corruption light in Mexico but more as an acceptable feature. If its a feature, how do you work with the government then? Also, it is in their best interest as the same lines that supply drugs and people are likely moving guns south. Mexico seems to care so much about that, that they are suing an American firearm company.

Suboxen is not the way to go either is methadone. They are both the same thing as heroin. One is an antagonist and the other is an AGONIST. Imagine a 1 door you need to unlock 2 keys one is made for the door so it fits and turns to lock/unlock. The other fits into the door but doesn’t turn so this is what it does neurologically. Basically they are both very addictive if you look at the true statistics, less than one percent of people are able to come off Suboxone.

He should be corrected, the current administration or the past one are only partially responsible, Congress needs to change, strengthen or update immigration laws, Presidents use executive orders. Remember there was a bipartisan bill that was killed before it went to a vote, passing laws is the answer. Also punishing low level criminals?, how many TD Bank executives are facing jail time for money laundering for the cartels? If we are as successful stopping drugs as we will be human trafficking, we are doomed.
@mikelitten748920 күн бұрын

To the question of "Why don't we fight cartels on our soil" and he says "it's not really that easy" I would def disagree with him. It is pretty easy, first step any suspected cartel member we check their citizenship, and if they are here illegally then it's automatic deportation. That would get rid of at least 25-50% of them, but we would need a closed border. Any American citizens we would need a task force to work on those the same way we did with the Italian mafia and can use RICO and other laws to slow them down. Then last step I believe we should classify them as terrorists in order to take the fight to them..... But to do any of this we need an administration that wants to put our American citizens first which the Harris/Biden admin does not.
@Tepaneca23 күн бұрын
If we label them terrorists then Mexicans will be able to flood here without consequences. Once a country has terrorists their exports are no longer immigrants but refugees and USAs immigration laws are different when it comes to war refugees.
