Fenom, I feel your pain. As a viewer, I get frustrated when people say you HAVE to do the studio first cuz that's how we experienced it. The reality is, most reactors will only do a song once. Most times, the live will be better, imo. But there are some instances where the studio version is sooo good, that's the place to go. You guys listened to your viewers, which is not always the case - so shout out to guys!! Usually, money talks, so reactors will only do what people pay them to do. So, thank you for listening to us little people - many of whom are on fixed incomes and don't have a dime to spare. God bless, and Merry Christmas to you all.

I'd love it if you would react to the original versions. The way they were introduced to us on the radio. If someone wants to see a band perform "live", they can buy a ticket and go to their concert. Songs are meant to be "listened" to, not watched. It takes something away from our own interpretation when a video is included. If a person still wants to see the live version, they can Google it. MTV caused a lot of confusion back in the day, by trying to interpret songs they had no clue what the meaning behind it was. Songs are personal for each of us. Rarely do they need visual stimulation to go with them. There are exceptions of course, but very few. Hearts "Alone", and "Eli's Comin" by Three Dog Night, just to name two off the top of my head. 🍃🌺🍃

In 1982 when I was 12 years old my cousin and I saw Chicago live on the campus of Louisiana Tech University. I paid $8 to see them! Unbelievable show! Chicago’s early days were the best in my opinion. They were so talented. I never cared for their newer music once they became popular on top 40 radio in the 80’s. They sounded like a ton of other top 40 sappy bands that all sounded alike. Love this video performance. Sadly I saw them without Terry Kath. He had died about four years before I saw them but they still put on a fantastic show!

Terry Kath was an amazing musician and guitarist. He was also an avid gun enthusiast and owner, who died way too early at only 31 years old. One night he was playing around with an unloaded 38 revolver at a roadie's house and put it to his head at one point, pulling the trigger. His friend warned him to be careful several times. Kath then picked up a 9mm semi-automatic pistol with no clip in it, telling his friend not to worry and showing him the empty magazine before inserting it. He repeated what he had done with the 38, unfortunately not realizing that there was actually a round in the chamber. He died instantly.

The studio version is good to give an idea of what the track is about, then check out the live version (if one’s available); that can give a better sense of what the singer or group is about and perhaps foster a greater appreciation of the track overall.

For some killer rock saxophone, listen to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, they have a number of great rock tunes that feature the saxophone. For a harder, classic rocking tune, "Old Time Rock and Roll" is a banger, with a good sax part. For a more soulful use of sax, "Turn the Page" makes tremendous use of saxophone. I've seen references to Seger's style as being "heartland rock". Some of Seger's best recordings were from live concerts, so anything on the album "Live Bullet" is a concert recording.
