Bloc Party just isn't the same without Tong and Moakes. Tong's drumming was just so dynamic and Moakes timing was perfect.

Hi hat isn't "timing". In this particular live version he played the drum intro fast and then when the singing came in he bumped back slower. Just means the band doesn't/ didn't use a metronome, which is good for the vibe they're going for.

I was going from college to uni during the summer of 2009 and it the last great summer with all my high school/college friends before we part ways (in some cases for life) and Bloc Party tracks was the background music for much of it. Amazing memories.

So basically, you personally only know one song, thus you conclude it's a one it wonder, right ? One hit wonders don't last, that's one of the main point. Bloc Party has produced 4 albums and 4 EPs since 2003, have been and are still touring in the most prestigious festivals all around the world, where their music is renown and loved. Imho it's definitely one of the most intelligent and creative band I know

The reunion is expected to happen towards the end of 2011, with no confirmed release for a new LP or touring dates."....off their wiki, so hopefully this is true
