Britain had some great music coming out during the early 2000s: Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs and the Kooks. It’s reminiscent to the Britpop wave of the mid 90s consisting of Oasis, Blur, the Verve, and Pulp. What a time to be alive.
@torstenscholz62434 жыл бұрын
Add to that list Franz Ferdinand, Razorlight, The Libertines, Maximo Park, Blood Red Shoes, The Subways, Badly Drawn Boy, Snow Patrol and many more. The mid-2000s were indeed the last really great time for Britpop, Garage and Indie rock. A new wave of bands of that quality really should happen again, the sooner the better. This is real music and soooo much better than the soulless edm crap that dominates the charts nowadays.
@Stoneman1801904 жыл бұрын
@@torstenscholz6243 2010s has Royal Blood, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Nothing but thieves, Basement, Two Door Cinema Club, Kodaline and Foals. Not too many but a saving grace for the EDM crap. Hopefully that gets the wheels in motion for a revival.

Can't stop listening to this song, November 2022. Brings back so many early adulthood memories. Anyone else listening to this in their mid 30s? We had such good music in high school. Going to live performances with my friends was my life ❤

I mean, its an amazing song like most of silent alarm is. But I wouldn’t necessarily say its underrated. Bloc Party were pretty popular

I know this song since it was released, but now it's forever linked in my head with Life is Strange 2. It's amazing what movies and games can make as multimedia.

I went to their first gig in México city. I won two tickets through a university radio station. The concert was great. They played the songs of this album. I invited a guy and we went together. This happened like 15 years ago approx or more. I feel nostalgic. Time really flies. I wish I could come back! Saludos desde México 🇲🇽

I listened to BP in 2009 and I had such a soul soaring feeling inside me that I wanted to cry from joy. It’s 2022 and I still adore listening to BP old tunes like “Banquet” - one of my fav song. I consider their “Silent Alarm” and “Intimacy” albums the best of their art. When I hear songs Banquet or Signs or Trojan Horse I instantly teleport into my happiest times of my life in the past. I just want to say THANK YOU to these guys, love them ❤🥺
