Fellow toddler mama here! For awhile I would clean up my son’s toys during nap time because I feel like I can’t rest/relax if the house isn’t straightened up. Recently, I’ve been having him (he’s 2) help clean up his toys before his nap and at bedtime. My husband and I loved the idea that he’s learning to take care of his things and he’s also in a helping phase so we are totally embracing it!

Mom of two (6 yrs old and a 1 yrs old). With my first baby I always cleaned up during nap time. However, I’m trying to do things differently with baby #2. I do a quick kitchen clean up and then devotional time during naps. This has made such a difference in my days! It seems like as I spend time with the Lord He truly gives me more energy and extra time to do everything else after time with Him.

I have a two and four year old and I try to mostly clean up while they're awake! I once heard that it's good for them to see you cleaning so that they don't think things magically get cleaned up while they're away.

We use command hooks to hang our stockings higher up on the wall behind our Christmas tree (it's a smaller tree) Love the fall leaves around you! Ours are all gone and it's been snowing and raining throughout the week. I always clean up during naptime because then he seems excited to go through all of his toys again lol

I definitely used to do some quick cleanups during nap time, but generally I always had a rule "nap time is for my resting, chores can be done when they are awake" 🙂

We use command hooks for our stockings and instead of hanging them on the fireplace, we hang them on the wall so our kids can’t mess with them and yank at them.

We put our stockings on our blanket ladder! I just use ribbon to stagger and arrange them the way I like!

Stocking idea: We use command strip hooks for our stockings. We just make sure we get hooks that hold the correct weight and we put them up on the side columns or our mantel. :-) Happy Holidays!

My rule for toddler naps or anytime my toddler is occupied with play is to get everything done that is hard to do with him. So laundry and dishes and things like that. I leave the toy clean up for the end of the day since I have two active boys 😊

Re: the dog. That same thing happened to my friend. She found a pup, took her to the vet, called the owner and they claimed not to know the dog. It was clear the dog had given birth to puppies at some point. So we’re guessing they got rid of her after they sold off the puppies. Happy ending, it’s been a few years since the dog found a new home with my friend. Very loving home, she’s been so spoiled. Her days on the street are long over.
