I love this video so much. I'm also a first time mom of a boy who's right around the same age as your little one; and everything you said rings so true. Wish I knew all of this when he was born, but grateful for all I've learned along the way. I'm looking forward to seeing more motherhood content in the future!

We had an issue with drain flies last summer. Vinegar and baking soda down the drains, let it sit overnight and then rinse in the morning. After 3 times they were gone!

For teething, we used to wet a baby washcloth, tie the middle in a knot, and then freeze. Our girls loved chewing on them

For the fruit flys, you can do apple cider vinegar in a jar, and squeeze in some dish soap! Cover it with plastic wrap and make a couple holes in the wrap but it works so well lol sometimes we have that problem as well

Put some rubbing alcohol mixed with water in a spray bottle. The fruit flies will fall to the ground instantly

I love everything about this vlog! How raw & vulnerable you are with how you feel about your body, but also being aware of how much effort, but also reminding yourself that sometimes we don't reach where we want to be and that's okay. Would love a video (even if it's a short one) all about shortbread, your experience, and things you have to make shortbread. ❤

i love what you said about priorities. i’m not pregnant but i relate to that because for me my priority is not how i look so i prioritize fun meals with friends and social things over making everything healthy or always working out and therefore that affects the way i look but im living in line with my values so that’s what matters to me! and still healthy too!

I needed this. It was like a good friend telling me “hey. you can do this.” And that’s so special to get from someone else in the world you have never met. I’m 35 weeks and hearing you talk about surrendering to birth was so so so empowering. And savoring the present 👏🏻👏🏻 yes. Thank you for this.

I didn’t anticipate taking longer to bond with my second baby than with my first. I figured the newborn phase would be easy because I was experienced but I didn’t account for the time it would take to get to know her! I felt so guilty for not having that uninterrupted bonding time that I had with my first, but we found our way with each other regardless. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the technicalities of caring for a baby and miss the biggest part - the totally unique relationship between every mother and child! The best parenting advice I’ve gotten is to do your best and trust God to catch the things you miss. Thank you for your beautiful content as always, Michelle. So grateful for your presence in this space.

I have fond memories of going to the library with my boys when they were younger. The teacher would read a couple of stories, and she was so good and patient with the kids. Then we'd get to do a craft with our child. I also loved checking out books for them then. I did get to meet other moms that way too. Sometimes some of us would head to the park after the library and hang out there to talk while are kids played. My boys are 15, 12, and 9 now. ❤😀

If I could go back I would have prepared more for my own recovery postpartum. It would have been so nice to have something fresh and cute to wear rather than the hospital gown and the three sizes too large undies 🫣

For a natural fruit fly trap, combine dish soap, apple cider vinegar, and water in a glass, put plastic wrap over the top, secure with a rubber band, and poke a couple holes in the top with a toothpick. The flies will be attracted to the apple cider vinegar, crawl in through the hole, and get stuck in there. Hope that helps!

I breastfeed my 3 month old, and it took a lot of strength to get to where we are today. Luckily, baby and I did it pretty seamlessly, but it is definitely a mental battle. I am trying to stay motivated and greatful for our breastfeeding journey❤

I really really loved this video. My baby boy is almost 7 months old and I just started to become used to this new life maybe a month or 2 ago. Until then I was so resentful of my husband, in my eyes he could to anything whenever he wanted. But now I understand that babies especially when they are so little they need their mom the most. They need us for comfort, for our love.. for everything. Now I love being a mom to my son. We are so connected and we love each other so much, I can see it in his eyes. The hardest part for me was the lack of freedom. I can’t get a bath whenever I want to. I can’t go somewhere whenever I want to. But now I can bring him along, and he enjoys every single second of it. Of course there are some very hard days, when you feel like nothing you are doing is just not enough. But every single night, after I put my son to bed, I feel so so proud of myself for being there for my baby, for feeding him, for playing with him. I just love being his mom.. it’s the best gift anyone could have ever given to me. ❤️

Michelle, thank you for sharing your life with us. You are such an inspiration! ❤ I always look forward to seeing a new video. My son - Teo - is two months younger than Connor and I feel so close to you. It’s awesome to see you being in the same stage as I am. We have so much in common, I wish I could get to know you in real life and spend some time together, walking with our sons and enjoying life 🥰
