i am missing that Viking beard you had going on for awhile! A few reasons why the world needs Taiwan , the biggest is its a perfect example of how an impoverished pacific island with not much natural resources can become a rich and highly developed country , so developing countries and countries lacking natural resources can look to Taiwan for guidance. Taiwan is important to Asia because I dare say it’s the most democratic free transparent government in all of Asia . Some say Japan is , but I say Taiwan. , now why is Taiwan important to the west and the free world ? Well Taiwan (the Republic Of China) is like this giant road block on Chinas eastern coast that’s keeping China from controlling more of the south eastern Pacific Ocean and in the case of WW3 Taiwan is the front lines ! I love Taiwan I will be here for the foreseeable future

It's more appropriate to call that China 'the communist China' because China is a decent word in my mind.
Appreciate your valuable comments in many many positive sides of Taiwan. In another way, just like all the other countries, we do realize that we have lots of headaches down the road. But don't give up, Taiwanese young folks. Friends from overall the world will work together with you, and enter a new and better era. Keep up the good work and sunshine will always lead the way.
Taiwan is very important. It have a lot high tech companies and it is the last place where people can see the traditional old China. Their importans makes Taiwan one of the most developed countries in the world.

Taiwan is important because it is, as Vice President Pence said recently in his speech, a beacon of democracy. This is especially important in that part of the world, in which Taiwan is the only true democracy among the nations with a predominant or significant Chinese culture and heritage. I grew up in Taiwan and now live in the U.S. I know the people of Taiwan are proud of their democracy, but I don’t think many Taiwanese truly appreciate how that makes Taiwan unique and important especially in the eyes of the world. Thank you for making this video to promote my beloved homeland Taiwan!

Yeah, it seems like a beautiful country, to bad China influence and money made many countries around the world stop recognizing Taiwan as a Country, Where I'm from Argentina, just to recognize Taiwan until 2003, when the government turn left, and China money start to poured in, now Taiwan is consider part of China by the government, but not by me. Good luck!

Taiwan is an integral part of China's territory. The main ethnic group of Gaoshan in Taiwan Province settled here before the Han nationality moved into Taiwan in the 17th century; since the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, a large number of people from southern Fujian and eastern Guangdong moved to Taiwan, and finally formed a society with Han nationality as the main body. Penghu in the Southern Song Dynasty belongs to Fujian road; yuan and Ming Dynasties set up patrol inspection department in Penghu; it was occupied by Holland and Spain at the end of Ming Dynasty; Zheng Chenggong recovered it in 1662; the Qing Dynasty set up Taiwan government in 1684, belonging to Fujian Province, and established Taiwan Province in 1885; in 1895, the Qing government ceded to Japan by treaty of Shimonoseki; after the victory of the Anti Japanese War of the Chinese people in 1945, the Chinese government restored the administrative structure of Taiwan Province; 1949 In 1954, the United States signed a common defense treaty with the Taiwan authorities, which resulted in the separation of Taiwan from the mainland. Taiwan culture, with Chinese culture as the main body, is an important part of Chinese culture. The South Island Culture of Gaoshan Nationality also has an impact. In modern times, it integrates Japanese and European and American cultures, presenting a diverse landscape.
Great video to describe Taiwan situations. PS. All back ground videos are only film in Taipei... Still have Taichung, Tainan and many more cities and area to discover.
