I own a Riese & Muller Multicharger Mixte which is very similar to this bike. They're a ton of fun! With the passenger kit my girlfriend can hop on the back to go to the park or out to restaurants - great for adventures.

I bought an aventon ebike and I fricken love it. I live in a very hilly area of s.w. Littleton, Colorado and after 4 knee surgeries I just couldn't make it up the hills anymore with my regular bike (and I'm getting old). I quit riding for 5 years because of this. Now I can ride with my kids. I bought my ebike 3 months ago and I already have 1200 miles on it. Unless I need to take my kids someplace I just ride my ebike to commute. Having cargo racks and bags is the key. My wife tried my ebike out, road it 100ft and wanted one. So she bought one a week after me lol. Now she goes riding with me which is awesome since she's not a bike rider. I'm getting 30 miles a battery but maybe next year I'll get a nicer one with a longer distance battery since thats the only reason I don't go farther.

Fantastic video. I see a lot of ebikes with 4inch wide tires around town (Toronto-Canada) but those are tanks!! Too heavy. These ones you are riding are 2inch wide tires correct? Are these nearly impossible to ride when the battery runs out? Or with minimal assistance? I really would love to get some exercise and not depend completely on the battery. I think the fat tires would be impossible to ride without the motor. On a side note, i worry about the speed of these ebikes on regular bike/pedestrian paths. I hope cities dont ban ebikes. Great video. I want my 2 year old boy to share my short bike adventures.

This bike has 2.6" tires, and it's not light--it clocks in a 65 lbs. That said, when the battery dies, it's not impossible to get where you're going. You can definitely get a workout if you don't run it on turbo mode--but we ended up in turbo a lot of the time because it was so dang fun.

@@theproscloset hey there...2.6" wide tires sounds like a good compromise. I don't want skinny tires either...I wish I could test ride one of these bikes before buying- I looked at the Benno lineup...nice...but way too much money! I'll wait a bit and see what else comes out soon. Thanks and enjoy the ride!
