Okay but can I recycle my old Furbies because that shit has been creeping me out for decades. They might revolt. TBD.
@sarah_thescientist6 жыл бұрын
Part of me thinks that Furbies will somehow find a way back into the house after you try to get rid of them.
@jameshill24506 жыл бұрын
To get rid of a Furby for good, you must remove the eyes and put them in a dark bag inside a small wooden box. Then place the Furby inside a bag, and inside a box made of the same wood (same tree if possible). Wrap a piece of string around each box six times and tie it closed. Next you need to bury them at least a mile away from each other, and at least four feet deep. It helps to have the holes prepared before you go, so it doesn't hear what you're doing. Spread salt over the ground while walking six circles around the grave. There's still no guarantee that it won't find you some day, but this is your best bet.

This Might Get give to wigs for kids or a different program cause locks for love they make people pay for wigs
@HelleBunny_6 жыл бұрын
Just a note that Locks of Love isn’t the best company to donate your hair to since it’s not uncommon for it to either be deemed unusable and thrown out or used for wigs that the patients are charged for, not donated, but there’s pantenes beautiful lengths or wigs for kids as two good alternatives!

I stopped using plastic bags, bought reusable fruit and vege bags and glass straws. I also take my soft plastics to the recycle centre and I compost. I literally only put the trash out once every 3 weeks now! I'm hoping to cut it down to monthly.

Don't forget you can help reduce your use of plastic in many ways too! Bring a reusable cup to get your coffee, bring a reusable bag to the store, buy things in bulk with jars(or in general opt for paper packaging over plastic when shopping), and just be aware of how much waste you are producing in general! It isn't as hard as it seems and we can actually help the earth!

Thank you for doing this segment! Americans for real don't know how to recycle and it's so tragic. People just throw away plastic bottles, etc. and in my head I'm screaming THAT'S RECYCLABLE AND THE RECYCLING WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE TRASH YOU JUST THREW THAT AWAY IN. It's up to each individual to reduce their carbon footprint.
@nancywillaert51296 жыл бұрын
Here we can bring lipstick or any kind of makeup to the recycling station, we have blue bags for bottles, cans and caps of bottles, pink bag for buttercups, yoghurt pots, tinfoil, black bag for waist and get collected at your front door even paper gets collected. Glascontainers are put in villages and cities to put your clear glass and other colors of class. Other things you bring to the recycling center. And greens or fruit and vegetables waisted you get a bin to make your own compost or some villages have a bin they come and collect.

I work at Biscuit Bitch in Seattle and everything we use is compost all of our forks straws plastic cups ect. I love that I work for a place that cares . We have 6 to 8 giant bags of compost that could be recycled but having it break down naturally in compost is so cool!
@EricaGamet6 жыл бұрын
I live in Seattle, too, and I love that the only trash I generate is my bathroom trash and all the wrappers from the Clif Bars I eat (they are foil and plasticized paper). Having the city collect compost/yard waste in addition to recycling has helped me cut down so much! And I love that Seattle restaurants are going to the "no straw/compostable straw" thing. Awesome!

This really just shows how hard it is to recycle correctly. Also not-so-fun fact: the recycle processing is expensive to operate with small returns (it's sold afterwards), so we've been shipping it to China.. and they no longer take it due to the built-up surplus. But, hey, landfills do increase elevation from sea level for the rising tides being helped along by factory pollution - which includes recycling factories. It's The Circle of Trash.
