I truly cant believe how easy it is for these ladies to get conned. Once they start asking for money I'd be out😮

Atleast she actually met the person and from his picture it looks like he was good at putting on the show. It's the ones that get scammed from online that always get me 🤣🤦🏾♀️

When you meet the person, and they are real, it's different. I have had two personal experiences myself. I am a British woman and met another guy in London (in person from college, and not off the intenet), and we developed a romantic relationship. A year went by, and I was happy - or so I thought. He asked me for a loan of 2K, as he was a student, and wanted money to buy a scooter, so he could obtain a part-time job as a pizza delivery man. I declined, as I realised he would not be able to pay me back within the month, like he said he would as the amount was too much. He then ended the relationship, with me being sad, but losing no money. The next scam was worse , as a female friend of 21 years I had originally met at church wanted me to 'Go Guarantor' to cover debts she had incurred pf £75K. I said 'No' due to the amount, and the loan company wanted my house as security. The so-called 'Friendship' continued, but was never, ever, the same again.

Atleast she actually met this guy, I'll give her a bit of benefit of the doubt on that. In the pic they showed he looks like he could have a bit of money as well.
@robw24862 сағат бұрын
Agreed. He also visited her in London, and met her family. It was a fairly well-thought out con. However, 30K is a lot to give, I wonder if they discussed a marriage or a future together?

So if she had an incline something wasn't right when she asked her to remortgage her property, why she still go ahead to apply for on?

Don't ever be afraid to say NO! I feel like people want to come across as helpful or might be people pleasers but really she only has herself to blame.
@robw24862 сағат бұрын
YES. It's very hard to say no to a good friend or partner. I know from personal experience. I did not part with any money myself, but I felt an enormous pressure to do so, given they were a good long-term friend, and romantic partner etc.
