Every diesel swap we did was a smoker till we ran many tanks through it and we had to clean the carb three times during all that. Eventually we got her cleared out and it ran good. Diesel is a gift that keeps on giving.😊

Mine too my 82; Chevy k20 Silverado was a vinz 6.2 litre diesel and the bottom end was loose so it got a completely rebuilt 1984 Chevy 416 casting heads high output 305 sbc and a summit racing brand k1102 cam kit and it still smoked like crazy at idle for about 4 months after the swap

Seems like i ended up having to run like 104 octane booster red bottle til it would run right and it was a pain to start cold

Here's what i ended up doing with the early 94 Chevy Z71 Silverado extended cab short bed truck 350 0.40 tbi i bought a ateam performance billet aluminum new distributor for the truck it's actually a southwest performance out of California product and they buy them in bulk from tsp performance out of Texas i don't believe it is top speed performance though, anyway i bought a ac d194s brand name ignition control module and bam no more goofy timing and constant backfire issues and when that truck backfires out of the glass pack muffler deep tone dual exhaust pipes and 3 1/2 inch single wall stainless steel angle cut heartthrob brand exhaust tips it sounds like a for a example Winchester 12-16 side by side double barrel shot gun shooting both barrels simultaneously and yes the neighbors hated the truck lol

Hey hey y'all! Hope all's well with you guys and you're having a wonderful week thus far! Pray that the rest of your week goes great and looking forward to seeing everyone here next Wednesday! Remember to give Mr Chad a huge thumbs up on this video and share to your own social media pages to help spread the channel and help Chad to keep bringing us these awesome videos! MLAR (much love and respect) ~ Scott 💙🙏🏼 I know it's probably gonna trigger some folks... and it most likely would me too these days but... back many many years ago, a friend of mine had a dog named Lowrider and he would chase cars so we tied about 150ft of rope to a couple cinder blocks and the other end to his collar and we took off up the road. Needless to say, after a few passes Lowrider didn't chase cars anymore 😁🤷🏻♂️

Hey, you should get one of those vevor round fans with the tube attachment, to help suck some of that smoke out of your shop. I rigged one up on the end of my home made shop heater, Mr.Explody, and that fan has some power to it. Inexpensive as well. I'm pretty impressed with that brand. I bought the extension cord reel as well and it's awesome. If you have an email I'll send you a couple of pictures of the heater. LoL I wasn't sure it'd work until after it was done. It's a beast, but kinda ghetto.

Hey Chad I soooo appreciate your content!! I wanted to just say that on the trans x-member, although, ideally, you'd wanna install 8 fasteners, you can get by with the lower (4) bolts. The natural effect of the poweplant is to thrust upward as well as twis on an axis on acceleration. Because of that, the trans will this on that same rotational axis. The axis line is fore n aft, so the bolts are more of a stabilizer rather than a locator, if that makes sense. Of course, if you experience a popping noise on hard acceleration, then that x-member is in need of the upper hardware, but I doubt it's gonna be an issue whatsoever. Anyhow, thank you for what you do, God bless you n your family!!!

Wonderful thing about the ol’ square body when wires leave the fuse box on outside there was 3 separate wiring harness most people thought it was one but they do separate you can get the gas engine harness and plug it in and it will work may have to put a choke fuse and remove a glow plug but they will change

You can pull a 12-volt source for your choke off the Exciter wire on your alternator get you some Marvel Mystery Oil and put in the oil loosen up them lifters from sitting and get you a can of berryman's and rev that sucker up and pour it down the carburetor and give her an Italian tune up break the Rings loose and clean the valves off be sure and put that air cleaner top on upside down so you can hear that Quadra bog

I can give you a suggestion as to how the back feed started. The other fuse you found blown went in the Inst lamps /Tail position and when you replaced it that caused the back feed that previously wasnt there . Ill almost bet that fuse blew along time ago so to get dash lamps and tail lamps they bypassed the fuse so the tail lamps only worked with the key in the on position. Ive run into this before .
