If you get tired of the Fairmont wagon... SleeperDude on youtube would love that car. Fairmont crazy... and he's in your neighbourhood I think. Classy move with the Lincoln... would have been a shame to have demo'd that car. The old fella will enjoy it for a bit more. The dually white truck I think he has is calling your name... "fix me Chad"... take it easy

I had a 01 and 03 both were rear wheel drive. I have seen a few front wheel .. Why they ever did that I don’t know. I bought a pickup now. I Don’t like working on front wheel drive. I have also never got over a engine mounted sideways 🙀🙀

Use some self-adhesive Velcro strips to mount the box while using the remote. easy enough to disconnect then. Giving the Lincoln back to the older gentleman's car back showed excellent character on your part. Wish more people had that character these days....

The old Fairmont ignition lock gave you a battle. If there is a next tim. Try driving a popsicle stick down in the ignition lock then turn the wings of the switch with a big crescent wrench or slip joint pliers. They usually bust free. The wood splinters and sort of makes it's own key so the lock will turn. Worth a try before beating it to death with a sledge hammer. You got er done and that is what makes it fun!!!

SPEEDI UK over here in Blighty and Europe we have a few vehicles that do similar to that Lincoln when trying to bleed the water system ...... one thing is you have to use the correct coolant ..water alone will not work .... but the main thing is you have to vacuum the system then refill the system via your vacuum tool ..... as always love your videos keep doing as you do.... BTW for all your good deeds I'm sure the ood lord will welcome you into his heavenly Garage of his old junkers to continue your good work ...

Very important!! That generation of fords had trouble with degas tank caps if I remember correctly. Many of the issues that plagued the 6.0 and 3.0 are linked back to the caps not regulating pressure as they should. Cheap & easy to replace it.

On the V8 Jags we had in the UK (I think closely related to the Lincoln engine in that Continental) it's really important to have a good battery and kept topped up with a keeper if you are going to leave it for a while - otherwise it's going to turn over but will never start (which may have been the old starting issue). You did a good thing giving it back. Very much enjoy some of your older "revivals".
