This is adorable! And I‘m always glad to see kids being encouraged to learn to make stuff themselves regardless of gender :)

5:58 don't you mean tweezers, not zip ties?
@AdityaMehendale6 жыл бұрын
ZIP TIES!! Please don't cut them off like that! The stubs can leave nasty cuts. A flush-trim cutter is *the* way to go. Electrical techs leak the magic red-juice regularly as a result of inconsiderate colleagues leaving zip-tie stubble on cables.
@scotttovey6 жыл бұрын
The only reason I cut them down to the collar is because they look better. Good to know there's an additional safety reason for doing it.
@DK-bm5rg5 жыл бұрын
They actually make a special cutter for zip ties, so there not sharp after you cut them
@nnamerz5 ай бұрын
If you don't have a zip tie cutting tool, and still have sharp edges, you can take a lighter to the pointed edge for a few seconds (which softens the plastic) and reshape it so it's not as sharp. Or you can put some scrap foam/sponge/cotton balls on the pointed edge and wrap around it with some tape.
@AdityaMehendale5 ай бұрын
@@nnamerz You can get a "good enough" flush-trim cutter for less than the price of two cups of coffee. If you use it to exclusively cut zip-ties, it will last you a lifetime. Uncut, or flush-cut. There really no excuse for anything else.

Like the vid & also seeing kids involved & actually allowed to "do" stuff....with current supervision, they can even use a saw, as it should be😊 Was wondering if know the cost of making a goal vs buying one, as I'm interested to know if cheaper to make yourself(it's a great entry level activity that can get ppl involved & spending time together is a good thing as well, besides watching tv, lol). Cheers, A
@SubsonicNoise6 жыл бұрын
Aepek Depends on availability and pricing of pvc pipes and fittings where you‘re from - I‘d wager that this ends up slightly cheaper

If you paint that PVC, it'll slow the photodegradation. Otherwise, you'll be making a new goal in a couple of years... when the kids have moved on to another sport anyway. :)

Our society is far from perfect but we have made some progress, in my youth no one would have tought to include a girl and show them they can do it has well. These inclusive videos are inspiration to girls and help build their confidence (we still need to work on this aspect because of a few pricks who tell that them girls can't do that).
@OsmarPonce6 жыл бұрын
Sylvain Michaud no, girls need to be inside learning how to cook for there future husband and kids, what use is there for them to know how to cut and glue pvc??

Well their are videos showing BOYS and girl how to cook. As for the male dinosaurs (who think of themselves as Alpha males), I'm sure they can find videos showing how to find a mate that can do it (Jordan Peterson probably has one). That's the beauty of KZbin !
