I think it is my Answer to my "Patio Problem ". I'm not in the $$ budget , Nor Physical Condition for Concrete work .but , My Front Entry Should Say " Welcome In Peace & Love Abides Here " 💞 I'm trying to correct the drainage from the gutters on this overhead roof . I was convinced this was the solution for my concrete deck. I went to IKEA and bought their Runnen tiles. They are made of a very cheap wood in Vietnam. They won't last a season. Ipe wood is much harder but it's still wood and will need to be stained/treated annually. Best solution is Trex or another brand of composite tiles that are maintenance free. Also those plastic frames creak when you walk on them.

That's what i was thinking....nothing was done with the little strip of concrete to wall soil edge....ripe for weeds again....He should have dug out soil then laid in plastic sheathing with gravel on top...at minimum. Oh, well a little poured gasoline every year on the strip of weeds will kill it for a season. I think the plastic walkway might be good for 5 to 7 years...before it starts breaking apart and discoloring. Nothing permanent there. Someone's going to be walking outside and hurt their ankles on those low hung boxes...I'd fear the liability of pedestrians. All looks good for a little while.
