Roscoe, baepsae - translated as crow tits - a crow tit is a tiny bird with little legs. As far as I can tell, it's part of an idiom about inequality of opportunity that basically says if a crow tit (little legs) tries to keep up with a stork (long legs) it will fail. It's also sometimes translated as "try-hard" or "underdog". There's a whole song by BTS called Baepsae / Silver Spoon based on this idea

Yes. Crow-tit is a compliment here, not an insult. Baepsae is my favorite BTS song, the one that made me ARMY. There is no music video, but it has my favorite dance practice. The dance practice isn’t the best place to hear the song though because of the acoustics in the practice room, but it has really fun moments and is where Joonie became my bias. Baepsae is a concert favorite because for some reason, this song about the struggles of the younger generation and the generation gap has a lot of hip thrusts.

Hey Roscoe, pretty much all Armys know what Baepsae or a crow tit is. It’s a bird from a Korean idiom saying if a crow-tit tries to do walk like a stork, it will breaks its legs. Basically meaning if you’re born with “less” (money, ability, etc.) you should stay in your lane bc otherwise you’ll fail. It’s often used to tell lower classes, esp young ppl, in Korea to accept their lot and be content with their inevitable failure. BTS reappropriates “baepsae” in many of their songs to say that Baepsae matter! BTS are baepsae. Army are baepsae. And we all count, have dreams, talent and the storks are probably lying about what we’re capable of anyway!

The "things you missed in ___" videos are a visual representation of the hyperactivity of ADHD (I'd know, was diagnosed in 2nd grade and everything). Yes they're distracting, but they're very fun. The one for Not Today is hysterical during the last half (thanks to Tae and JK).

I agree with you that the crew on this works really hard , taking time preparing , and the guys are brought in to do their part, and everything is honky dory, but…let’s not forget the hours of practice that BTS and the backup dancers put into their preparation for this dance to appear flawless. I believe it’s a team effort to produce masterpiece videos for all of us to appreciate.

"crow-tits" is a symbolization of ordinary people. In Korea, the exact word is Baepsae, but it hardly to translate it to english word. You can search about what "the meaning of BTS Baepsae song" on google for more information about it.

My favorite part of the dance practice was when bts was moving in slow-mo and JK was tumbling forward in slow-mo too. That must have taken a great deal of control. So cool.

This is my favorite group choreography of all time. Never have flicks of the wrist been more powerful. This well-ordered progression from official MV to dance practice to behind the scenes helped me appreciate a point of genius in the official MV: the black costuming of the supporting dancers throws the precisely synchronized movement of their hands and wrists into clear relief.

Baepsae = crow tits = birds with very short legs = new generation. There is a song called Baepsae (or Silver spoon) that talk about the generational conflict. I love it!! Relating to the filming location I found this: BTS’s “Not Today” featured some eye-catching grand nature in the background that fans were convinced it was filmed outside of Korea. With rocky mountain sides and vast barren fields, even BTS members pointed out that it seemed and felt like New Zealand. This “nature”, however, is actually at a quarry - or an open-pit stone mining site - in the county of Danyang, north Chungcheong provice.

I love Not Today, it's one of my favourites. It's what I listen to when I am feeling defeated. It helps me tap into a deep seated pool of pride and anger and reminds me to get up, try again and (figuratively) flip the bird to whoever is trying to hold me down. If BTS have done it against all the odds, so can I.

I used to work stage production about a decade ago (now I'm a dispatcher? lol), and man... That stuff was hard. And I did not appreciate climbing up the inside of roofs at a 40 degree angle to help hang trusses xD But I do miss it. I miss the bonding that went on with the crew and the performers. It might've been hard work, and there were a lot of times we worked to set stuff up until 3 am, but it was also fun in its own way.

Crow tit is Baepsae - which means "try hard" or "underdog". Look up crow-tit, it's a bird. It means - Originally, crow tit referred to a small, puffy bird; however, after being used in a Korean proverb, the term crow tit came to refer to someone who is trying too hard to fit in by becoming something they aren't. *"If a crow-tit walks like a stork, it will break it's legs"* The song "Baepsae" mentions the stork and the crow-tit multiple times, the "crow-tits" being the generation from which BTS members come, whereas the "storks" are the generation prior.

The "things you missed..." is so chaotic, because in order to point out what 6 people are doing in the background, you have to re-plug the 2sec over and over again, zoom in, zoom out to show in what part you are, plus don't leave the sound off for the same reason. Not Today is my energy song! Any time i'm feeling frustrated or too tired to get stuff done, I either go for a drive with the volume way up or put on my headphones and BTS says "You're not giving up today! You can do it! Keep going!" As you watch more of making of and Bangtan Bombs you'll see how often the guys "play" with cameras in their down time. They are also very active in the film making process, always reviewing what they've recorded and giving their input to do it better. They are not happy until it is perfect, this is why they are the best!

Cool story time and congrats to getting back to a healthier you!! Had a marathon in elementary and did the opposite. People sprinted while we jogged and picked up the pace near the end and left the now exhausted sprinters behind. It's a marathon so different strategy. 🤣

Filmed partly at a quarry mine in Danyang, north Chungcheong provice. As you saw not ice, not granite (my thought🤭) but constructed so well to look like either! First of all, great mini story about the 100 yard dash! 🏃🏼 Second, baepsae... Crowtits... I've seen the comments, so i know everyone has already mentioned that it is a bird. What I'd like to add is that it is what BTS identifies themselves as, as opposed to the storks/silver spoons. So in the context of the song, it isn't an insult but a rallying call (like Daechwita) to other crowtits that "it is not today, (because) today we fight (RM)" . Lastly, i hope you get the time to rewatch the tank part of the dance practice. The slow motion part the boys do while the tank is shooting at them is awesome! Jungkook's athleticism in doing a "slowmo" front roll is amazing! 💜💜

Just so you know crow-tits line actually goes hand in hand with their song Baepsae (which has a dkdktv explanation video for Korean references) and also Dope surprisingly goes with it as well…a lot of BTS songs kind of connect and tell a story as well. I think is pretty cool!! Also whenever you do it (no hurry or rush) the video about Jhope I requested was: BTS human charger aka Jhope our little ball of sunshine by SugArmyy. In case you didn’t know which video…no rush at all . Take your time. Edit: I highly highly recommend watching Baepsae and watch dkdktv explanation video for Korean references and it will explain Baepsae but also clarify some lines from this song as well. As always I am late.. but I was practically vibrating with excitement wanting to watch this. I have hurt myself nothing serious just a pulled shoulder muscle so this took my mind off of it for a while.
