i just came back home after blasting Polar Night in my car and saw this! Not many people take the time to care about yoongi's lyrics enough to talk about them. IMO he's a genius. If Bob Dylan or John Lennon had writtent these lyrics 50 years ago, people would be giving them kudos. Same level shit.

15:00 YES! One of the subject I loved the most (along with neuroscience-y stuff) was Sociology and Anthropology, and theory of groups. It's really interesting to poke at the human brain from both a scientific approach and also a behavioural/historic one.

Appreciate your breaking down the lyrics. Despite the music being simple, the beat is moody and effective. Yoongi is addressing some weighty issues here. He and RM already denounced social polarisation in D2 (Strange]. But it is such a disturbing topic, especially the way Socmedia is divisive and many on the platforms don’t even have the self-awareness and ability to use non-abusive discourse. But you’re right: we can only work within our sphere of influence, no matter how small it is. 💜
