My thoughts because of how things are cut in the MV. I think the man who was making a phone call in the fight scene (who was looked at directly by Suga) was calling the detective. I think this is because the detective is corrupt and he is the one who is getting his money stolen that is why he is so upset when his cigarette gets taken and thrown onto the money. At the end in the barrel scene Yoongi passes the gun to the person who was just pushing his head into the barrel....and I think (I could be wrong it is hard to see) but I think it is the same man who was making the phone call....so I think this is a refection of Daechwita....in many ways I think it is the same story just told in a different way or a different time. Or another thought is that it is a repeating pattern...someone becomes king gets corrupt someone usurps him and then he becomes corrupt and then it happens again. A repeating pattern. But also since amygdala MV I am also thinking it is a repeating inner battle....but I will not say anything more about that until you have a chance to watch that one. After all Suga did say the blond king was anger and we did not know if the king was dead....but now the corrupt detective is for sure dead and Suga has talked about how he no longer has the anger that he used to carry and that is one of the reasons his music is changing.

I think you're pretty spot on. I liked the theory that the version of him that was poorer and more humble was trying to get rid of his bad side by "killing" the king off, but in haeguem it seems that he's the same one from Daechwita with the healed scar. And is now acting as the "bad" one now. But finally the Yoongi that is not tormented by his past and traumas doesn't have a scar of any kind and does as he pleases within the mv. He's meant to be seen as the better version of himself, and doesn't care about the money and burns it. In the end he finally gets rid of that version of himself. And I remember that Yoongi often talks about burning up his past in a lot of his music to become a new person. Although, with the last ending screen in Haegeum, where he looks at us, it's almost giving off the vibe that it's never really over, that a bad side of yourself can always rise to the top if you lose your true self. So pretty much what you said, a repeated cycle.

11:01 I think it's a direct reference to Joker in The Dark Knight movie. Because we saw him burning the money, again in The Dark Knight Joker says "It's not about the money, it's about sending a message". Yes maybe he connected Daechwita and The Dark Knight. But I'm heavy on the movie here.

Yes I didn't even consider that it might look like the Joker scene. The thought that came to my mind was the car scene in Daechwita. Those reactor who haven't seen Daechwita say The Joker and I'm thinking mmmm ok but I'm sure it's a reference to his previous song Daeachwita where he plays both characters.

This reaction is the first time I noticed that Thief Agust D found a meth lab in the dirty cop's hideout. He breaks in there to steal this corrupt detective's drug money. The way it's edited, I didn't understand from the mv that the lab that Thief Agust D is looking at is in the cop's lair. Yes, he's a very dirty cop who probably thinks the ends justify the means...he started out wanting justice but the power went to his head. So he represents the status quo and authority and rules that are supposed to be for everyone's good, but underneath it, it's all just about power and control. So Thief Agust D is onto this guy, maybe even in deep cover, but he knows what's up, so he's messing w the guy by stealing his precious money just bc he can. He doesn't care abt the money itself. His hideout is humble, he doesn't use the money to enrich himself at all. He even steals tangerines when he's got tens of thousands of dollars at home. He is the middle finger to corrupt authority. So yeah, he forces the detective to deal with him, thereby outing him as a criminal. The guy exposed himself bc of his own greed and need for control. Thief A D. catching a ride in the cop car shows that justice is on his side. The ominous music at the end, and the fact that he took the detective's jacket, foreshadows that this cycle could potentially happen again. Will Thief Agust D become corrupted by power and greed like Mad King and Rebel Agust D did? We'll see!

You may or may not have noticed but there are a couple sections that are directly or closely matching Daechwita. The first shot following him down the hall after he kills dude with his chopsticks is the same as his walk through the market at the start of Daechwita, down to him throwing his hands at the camera at the end. The shot of detective agust d leaning on the railing is an exact copy of the shot of the king up in his temple. Similarity of the screen with fire barrels and him shooting the detective him. hanging out of the car was done in daechwita. oh and there a 6 in his gang in the beginning, so that's obviously the other members and I personally think they are destroying the industry of kpop. another interesting thought... the suga that killed the king in daechwita is grows into the older mature but arrogant, angry and greedy suga. there's a lot to tie in with the scars too. mind boggling!

Not to mention the thief suga doesn't have a scar anymore while the detective still had a scar. When in Daechwita both the peasant & king wore the same scars. I think this is a conclusion that he has synced both Agust D and Suga to bring out the Yoongi who is today.
