Also tip on lines. Try and see through each corner to the next corner. What will make you faster isn’t about getting to each corner as fast as you can. But about maintaining highest optimal speed , exit trajectory, and momentum to next. Overall excellent first day man! You picked up good and quick

Well done Dustin! As an S2K owner, I truly enjoyed your video in the Track! Thanks! I’ve 2 advices for you: 1) get a stand-alone ECU (for your model, I think they #AEM V2 ) and decrease the VTEC engagement point to circa 4000. You have it waaaay to high! 2) get a proper K&W coilovers, and it will handle even better at the track! Congrats amigo, well done!

Dustin, great job! I was really impressed to see how smooth you were with your steering inputs, if you remember my last comment you’ll know that I used to be a racing instructor and something that I think could help you for the future is keeping your eyes looking further down the race track. You have to remember that even though there are cars in front of you, you need to maintain the ideal line. This track is a bit difficult because there are such long corners, it is hard to spot the apex and guide the nose toward them. I was also impressed to see how well you managed driving a manual transmission car, that adds a whole additional layer of complexity to the experience. Loving this content keep it up! 😎👌🏻

Can't wait until you get even more hooked and realize grip driving is fun as hell. So many KZbinr's go the drift route, but grip driving takes lots of seat time and training too, and doesn't beat up the car quite so bad.
@suprvrmedia62354 жыл бұрын
From Simracing and videos, I learned this things Front toe in- Makes the car more quick in reactions, more agile. Less turn of the wheel when you turn. Front toe out- If the car is really nervous, put toe out. It will be less agile, but more tame. More easy to catch a drift. Rear toe in- if you have oversteer, put toe in in the back. Rear toe out- never used in rwd cars, makes the car oversteer. Front sway bar stiffness- makes the car stiffer in the front, making the car have more understeer and less oversteer. More precise, but less predictable. Used also for bumps, less spring stiffness but more sway stiffness And the springs and all that stuff is more dificult, but I adjust it more for bumps and stuff. Not trying to be a pro in this stuff, but, from learning and trying in simulación, this is what I can say. Im sure that Ken and this people know s lot more, but whatever, my piece of advice here hahaha Reminder, toe and that stuff will make tires run out faster and gain temps.

You should be super proud of your self for your first time on a road course. You’re very consistent of either being full on gas or full on brake never coasting. Only pointers I could say would be to use all the track, YOU PAID FOR IT!! Clip your apexes closer and get on throttle as soon as you clip the apex. If you clip them as close as possible it will allow you to get on throttle earlier for corner exit. I was very impressed at how aggressive but under control you were on corner entry. You’ve got a great foundation. You’re the only legit KZbinr making a well documented track car build, and actually going out and using the car for that purpose. Excited to follow along the cars progress and your driving progress. Subbed.

Toe in in the rear is want you want to combat the oversteer. S2000 toes out heavily on compression so more toe in the better. Look at getting an aftermarket toe arm/bumpsteer kit. You can reduce the amount of toe In required saving the tyres a bit and maintain the stability

Take this car to the track as-is for like 4-5+ more times before making any changes. A big problem people have is changing too much every time they go out and almost have to re-learn the car every time. You need to know your limits (which honesty takes longer than 4-5 times..) and the vehicles limits before adding and changing stuff.

Small tip. You don’t want to torque your wheels when they are hot. Torque to the full specs when cold at the beginning of the day and after it has cooled down for 45-1hour, if you want to check the torque use a torque wrench and set it to 75-80% of the spec. Read here www.inokinetic.com/innovations-blog/2018/9/12/tech-tip-torque-your-dang-wheels-carefully

Hey Dustin, Rotrex makes a powerful Supercharger for The S2K. Yeah it's a bit unique but it is one of the more powerful types of Superchargers. Dustin is this going to be mainly a suspension based care or will there be N/A or F/I power adders involved? The F20 series is pretty maxed from the factory so N/A is expensive to see a lot of results that are worth the cost. If you go F/I Rotrex is unique and a S/C that will stand out from the rest or if you're going to go Turbo a T4 or a T67 with anti-lag might work well but then again that might affect the reliability of the engine in long track sessions. I if you stay N/A Cams, head work(if needed), and Hondata Kpro would be the best bang for the buck.
@kasper_4294 жыл бұрын
He's just starting, and learning the basics. The last thing the car needs right now is more power lol. Suspension, aero, and seat time. More power will come when he can handle it. :)
