I ADORED Beach Read but I'm not sure it would be considered lighthearted... there's a lot of dark stuff in that book like dealing with death/loss, cults, etc. I highly recommend it but would also suggest looking at trigger warnings if that might be an issue for you. (I'm a total softy so take it with a grain of salt, but I cried at least 5 or 6 times while reading it) Also, congrats of 50k Jananie!!

For soft boys, I recommend the Bird and the Blade by Megan Bannen!! It’s a Historical Fantasy retelling of Turandokt the opera. 😭 And it’s full of twists and riddles and found family and hurt

YASSS Chain of Gold is so good! It technically takes place in 1903 which is a few years after the Victorian era ended but it has a lot of flashbacks and is basically still a Victorian book imo lol great rec!

I just finish a beautiful but heartbreaking book called Wild Blue Wonder, centered around a girl named Quinn and her family after the tragic death of their best friend. The plot is about dealing with grief. It is definitely very heavy (I cried a lot) but it is so good. My favorite book as of right now. I’m not sure if that’s what your looking for but it is phenomenal but very heartbreaking💗

For the person who asked for a deep bond that isn't romantic, I would totally totally recommend "This Savage Song" by Victoria Schwab. I expected a romance at some point of the book but nope, it never came, so definitely read that one. It's also written beautifully and the world is very interesting and well built, Victoria never lets you down☺️ Also, congrats for the 50k! You definitely deserve it, you're one of my favorite KZbinrs, I've been watching your videos for ages❤️❤️❤️
