my whole life i've been told to sit still, stop acting weird, correct your posture, sit with your feet on the floor, pay attention, etc. but to see aurora fidget with a pinecone makes me extremely happy. i want to live like her, to live like i used to again. it's painful to stop moving; in a way, being unable to bounce my leg feels similar to being unable to reach an itch. what an odd thing, as well, that she's fascinated by moths. not that it's ACTUALLY odd or weird, just that it's odd that we're both into the same thing as well. i love insects, and wish to collect them but was always worried about what my friends would think. i've never connected and related to a musician as much as i have with aurora. it makes me feel less alone, but also more alone at the same time ... knowing that it took me so long to find somebody like me. it's hard to explain. i wonder, if anyone reads this, if you happen to relate to what i've said? if so, you aren't alone and you're allowed to be yourself; no matter how weird people may think you are. it's too boring and exhausting to try to fit into the mold society hands you. be free and true.

These are my feelings exactly! Her ability to dig into her own joy and comfort gives us permission to do the same. The freedom & authenticity in the way she is present in her body has me mesmerized. She is true to herself, and look at the magic she is able to share with the world because of that authenticity & freedom. We are all capable of so much more. Specifically, the way she seems to experience the world emotionally and tactilely, I FEEL. The depth at which I relate is IMMENSE. & I am similarly both elated and sad, because I feel like it has awakened in me ways I longed to be, ways I existed and then resisted. How great it is to not be alone, how sad it is to have been lonely/misunderstood for so long.

Aurora has changed my life a lot of times in a lot of ways, but right now I'm having a sort of identity crisis because I feel so many times like she acts the way I would if I wasn't so insecure and didn't sabotage myself so much. I suffer from extreme anxiety and when I see Aurora talk and act so freely, saying things I commonly think but don't dare to speak, I feel something aching inside me...a burning thirst for freedom that I know isn't easy to reach. And when I think I can just decide to change that from one day to the other, I soon realize that it isn't at all that simple and it takes an exhausting amount of practice, and inner emotional work. I feel so trapped sometimes, I just want to live close to nature and sing and dance freely and not pretend to care about anything I don't actually care about, but I'm still so afraid of things and I know there's a unique, bright person inside me who is just so scared to show. Sometimes I feel so vulnerable, like a lost child in the middle of endless crowds of people who are always in a rush.

@violetsky12852 жыл бұрын
She never claimed to have ADHD or stated it. People who have ADHD share similarities with HSP people like Aurora. Autism and ADHD were assumption made about her by other people. Those who saw her as weird said she's Autistic and those who perceived her needs to be active as someone with ADHD. It's a bit of pet peeve to assume someone. If she is any of these that's obviously 100% fine..but don't put words into other people's mouths....don't claim something when humans brains and sensitivity are much more complex than that.
@janne39822 жыл бұрын
@@violetsky1285 she said herself in an interview that she was offered adhd medicine as a kid because she couldn't focus or sit still. And did you know that hsp is actually often autism? I used to think i was hsp, but then got my autism diagnosis. I know several other people who had the same experience as i did. i know a lot about autism and adhd and i recognize a lot in her, which can't be explained with labels like hsp (which is, btw, a term invented by one woman who partly based her research on family members who later got an autism diagnosis) . It's normal that you feel comfortable with assuming she's hsp, but you have a problem with other people recognizing adhd or autism. Because hsp is "okay" and neurodivergency is stigmatized. But i agree that she doesn't need the label of autism or adhd, because she accepts herself the way she is so she doesn't need help, but me saying that i recognize myself in her and think that she's neurodivergent isn't hurting anyone either :))

People always made fun of me for acting like that when I was a kid - usually my enthusiasms, my shocking honesty, and my intense concentration on things. When you're a boy, it leads to fights. I had to learn to tone it down, but alone in nature, I could sing, dance, skip, climb trees, play with the animals, and watch or examine peculiar things without people making comments. In the city, if I so much as stop to look at a tree or the architecture of a building, people stare and think I'm weird. Like I said somewhere else, she seems normal to me, it's other people , who don't think much about anything, or examine anything, or question, or speak their minds who don't seem normal to me - just common.

@ I don't know her whole story, but I get the impression she is a sort of hothouse flower. I mean, she was well loved and protected, so she could concentrate on creativity. I had enormous creative potential, but I was alone and under attack from just about everywhere. I had to clean and do virtually all housework, and take care of my little sisters, while I had to fight around the neighborhood and at school, and somehow find time to do my homework. I wanted to play music, but my mother didn't want me to do it, and she wouldn't buy me a guitar or lessons, and she sabotaged my efforts to do it myself. What's more, I knew she was sabotaging me and when I complained, she admitted it and said as my mother it was her duty to prevent me from playing music. I was dealing with chaos so much that I preferred to spend my time alone in the wilderness, where all the animals were more peaceful, welcoming, and rational than people. I suffered much from freezing cold and every king of hardship there, but it was peaceful suffering, and always beautiful. I never ended up doing much for people or civilization. My jobs were always the most grueling and soul crushing jobs that nobody else would take, for minimum wage, which forced me to live in the most miserable and violent places, eating food that you wouldn't feed a dog, and without friends. I thought it was a pity my potential was wasted, but then it is the human condition. And it was very instructive to know the way people force people to live, and the way people like to kick you when you're down.

This is what I mean when I say that Aurora gives me ADHD vibes (as an ADHDer myself). Just her grabbing plants, holding a pinecone and playing around with it, staring at mics like she's never seen one before, totally unable to remember the last movie she cried at, putting her jewelry/etc in her mouth.

@@sophiebrandauer3947 not all INFPs do these things tho??? And these behaviors have nothing to do with MBTI characteristics. This type of thing is common among ADHDers who can be any MBTI personality.
