Many are asking the question, up to what time local buses ply. Local buses are usually upto 8pm from morning 7. Hiring a scooty in South Goa and coming to North Goa and vice-versa is not advisable, because one cannot ride more than 40kms/hr on Goa roads and journey gets tiering. In North Goa, eating out anywhere is not an issue. All eateries on costal belt and in Mapusa and Panjim are open till late. One should avoid lonely places in late hours. Tourists coming to Goa shouldn't always think of living very economically. All locals expect business. All taxi owners wait for hours to find a passenger. Earlier it wasn't like this. Since domestic tourists have increased alot, who mostly come to watch foreigners in bikinis, Goa has lost a good share of foreign tourists and their business. Foreigners usually hire tourists taxis, so also domestic tourists should spend money.
