It seems like Jonny was going to play a gig with the synth but Thom at sec 10 said "lets play street spirit Jon Jon" Jonny freaks out running across the stage trying to get the gear for this song 😂 Thom is the boss and Jonny is such a professional and talented person that was able to sort out everything at the last moment and play two instruments at the same time. Awesome!!!!!!!!

Thom Yorke is wearing his workout clothes. He looks cute and happy. Jonny Greenwood did awesome as usual multitasking instruments and the crowd supported the Performance! Beautiful! I Love You Radiohead!

This performance was great! Usually the audience participation interferes with the actual performance, but this particular set at Glastonbury seemed to accompany the (already amazing) performance of Thom & Jonny! Amazing show. Great job audience - you performed the accompaniment - amazingly!

This song is about the passage of time, and the realization that everything is effected by death. If you listen to the rhythm, it sounds like a ticking clock. Also the steady rhythm could represent a heartbeat, and symbolize how much time a person has left. The whole song seems hopeless at first, like death always happens and there is nothing we can do to change it, but it has the best redeeming quality at the end when Thom says “Immerse your soul in love”. Basically he’s saying that life is too short to live in hate, and that we need to make the most of each moment by loving each other.

Fantastic how Jonny plays two instruments simultaneously at the end, and lovely to see Michael Eavis welcoming them off stage. Love Glastonbury !

I was there for this, it was on The Park stage. Rumours came across Worthy FM, running, lots of running, off to the right off the Old Railway Line, around a corner and into THIS. Turn around and realise 5000 people are suddenly behind you. Caught KP & Street Spirit, pitch black and they were gone. I LOST MYSELF being sung back through the campsites by about 3000 people for 2 hours. Nuts. They came back the following year as Radiohead on the same stage, it still didn't beat this. Can't beat Glastonbury!

Now we know what street spirit sounds like as a drunken english pub chant; pretty much like all the rest of them. Perhaps the drunken english bellowing has more to do with the sound than the "melody" or "Instruments" or "notes". So many people not even remotely close to pitch. Oi, Just keep drinking til you sound majestic; you'll get there eventually (otherwise known as the "Johnny Rotten" method of singing)......
@Lasse33 жыл бұрын
