@@ghazypangerang6118 Actually it's my fav from Pablo Honey too. Even though I think Creep is a good song/well-written, I just don't think its grungy tone fits the lyrics well, and that's why I prefer covers of the song in a different style (like Kelly Clarkson or Hailey Reinhart) over the original. Anyone, on the other hand, is catchy, fun, the music fits the lyrics, and Thom sure turned it into a hell of a "performance". I was actually singing the "grow my hair, I am Jim Morrison" part to myself recently because it is so oddly catchy. I hope I don't sound pretentious lol. @ghost mall absolutely. constantly hear about how kid a was "the greatest right turn in music history." while i think the switch from okc to kid a was magnificent and led to some of the greatest music in history, i notice that people often discount just how incredible it was that radiohead made THREE of the greatest right turns in music history IN A ROW. from pablo honey to the bends, the band made their sound darker, their lyrics more interesting, and laid the groundwork for everything in the future. with ok computer, they extended past their previous boxing of alt rock and somewhat grunge-y feel of the bends with something deep and completely unique for the time. and with kid a, they scrapped pretty much any trace of rock to be found previously. the amount of positive changes this band took in a 5 year timespan is incredible.

Their early stuff got them where they are now and as a 15 year old seeing them in ‘92 the early stuff was HUGE live like Thom’s voice EDIT: before he heard Jeff Buckley. Real shy dude. Great hair…stuff like that mattered in your rockers as a kid. Still does.

In the contest between Thom and Jonny to cram as many chords into a song, the winner was Colin for just rolling with it and playing some fucking amazing basslines.

Radiohead seems to express my thoughts, feeling, psyche, better than any other. Upside or Downside, Inside or Outside...when I'm in a weird mood they make me feel good, and understood. I thank them for making music for all of our phases. I don't feel so alone. Why would anyone care about a cranky old dude like me? Well don't. I hardly care anymore myself. I am drowning on sympathy; let me go. Where is Real Love? Steven Pettinga, Indianapolis
