The thing I don't understand why Thoma ascension stat is atk? Not HP for shield, not ER for ulti, not EM for burgeon (I know Thoma was realeased before denro but still). Why they have to make it atk?

It honestly makes me happy to see Thoma get some respect. I got him at some point before I got to Inazuma and put him onto my main lineup and he's been doing really well. I honestly think he's a bit better than Xiangling (no offense to her, just my opinion).

I use Thoma in a cheveruse overload team with clorinde. Hes really good, also burgeon isnt the best but for imaginarium Theater its good to have him built on EM and have some HP pieces to switch back on when you need his shield.

Eh running a healer and a shielder is kind of not really what you want to do. He doesnt really stuggle enough to warrent needing that extra energy, my 160 ER was enough during this video and even then I can still get more by leveling fav.

your Kazuha problems sound like forgetting that VV set only triggers if the character is on field, so if you just drop Kazuha burst and switch off, VV-shred turns off eventually, but with Xianyun, you need to switch back on to atk with her and that triggers VV-shred more often

I assume youre talking about xianyun making him hit harder. I know he needs to be on field and if you look at the team I run it would almost be impossible to not swirl hydro, so its very confusing and I have to just assume her healing is what did it.

The thing with thoma, he need cons, or else you are gonna have a LOT of er problems, worse than xiangling, appart from that, his pyro application is slower than xianglings.. basicly, xiangling is just better in all ways.. although he does pretty well in burgeon comps

his shield is only outclassed by layla and zhongli. thoma is a good shield option. why compare a dmg dealer to a shielder? why does he need to have the same pyro appli as xl? we need variety in the game, and so application rate can differ (which is why he's good at burgeon and xl is not) at c4, Thomas energy issues are reduced. meanwhile xl is an energy black hole I personally think thoma is better

@@TheGenshinIdiot I didn't mean he is not good but is underated for reasons.He is very niche and I would only recommend to prioritize more universal units like bennet, xiangling or chevreuse. His shield is good BUT requires investment ( should be level 80/90 with GREAT artifacts for him to shine as shelder) comparing to my lvl 60 layla lol.Its better to build shielders who scales with hp and his scaling is not the best. Idk y u say xiangling is er heavy since she is a support running with er weapon and artifacts even if not her ult is worth it. Thoma good if u have pyro dps like hu tao or something amd can use as zhongli replacement. He is underatted cus there r many great pyro units out there and I would say building him is a waste and only do tht if u got his team. Dont just listen to ytbers since they all say every unit is best.

Also Xiangling wants ~300% ER for mualani teams which even with and er weapon running on emblem that’s not easy to get and massively nerfs her damage. I’m not saying Xiangling is worse but saying thoma is B-tier when he performs this well is his niche is literally underrating him, I put S-tier in the thumbnail just because it’s the most recognizable tier for tier lists, I would say he’s more of A-tier but also that’s where Xiangling belongs at this point too.

@@SRIHARIS-zi1ng Thoma has a stacking shield. The more your on fielder uses normal attacks the more it'll stack up. Before Layla, Thoma had the closest shielding potential to substitute for Zhongli. His shield gets beefy.

Its not lies, for a wriothesley team he is outright the best option for melt since he provides complete protection against anything with his application. For the Arle team I used he was also very good and could easily replace zhongli there.
