I'm not even into Dream Theater but I always love watching interviews with John Petrucci. What an interesting and classy guy. Owned a JP6 for a while - what a great precision engineered guitar. Thanks for the video!

Fair question - I think they're interesting from a technical perspective (chops, tightness, super hero virtuosity, etc.) but I could never get into the singer or the overall aesthetic of their songs. Amazing players for sure though.

It is always a pleasure to watch a John Petrucci interview, whether he is talking about music, being a salesman or (usually) both. In a world full of bravado, it is wonderful to listen to such a soft spoken, down to earth individual who is also a fantastic musician and song writer. Refreshing.

This is the quy who next to my guitar teacher teached me how to play guitar (Rock discipline) His great tone inspired me to look after my own tone. Very important to me and JP doesn't even know but still a big thank you to him and ofcourse Thomann for this great video. Can't wait for part 2 :)

Remie Stronks I love Rock Discipline! I'll never forget him at the end of one exercise : "that was 200 ... Let's say that was difficult". Lol. I've never been able to do that exercise anywhere near 200bpm.

I just don’t understand why the back plates aren’t flush mounted that really boggles me , Because to me this is like the ultimate guitar one thing that the back plates Stick out like that just seems strange to me unless there’s some kind of reason for it like not enough room or something I don’t know

Not so sure about the Paradigm strings thing, they feel very different in my opinion. Pretty stiff. I’d be surprised they actually use them to record or practice. They might be useful on stage.
