I tried a Vintera Nocaster in a music shop, the sound and the finishes were excellent to me but I didn't buy it because of the neck, too big for my taste! So I came back to my Squier CV 50s (made in Indonesia) and modified it with CTS pots, brass sadles and Fender pure vintage 51 pick ups. Now I'm happy with it, the neck is very well made with rounded edges and C shape!

I agree with the idea the vintera U shaped neck on the tele makes you play differently and gives the tele its own vibe. I bought a vintera tele in fiesta red with the u shaped neck after going into a store with a much higher budget, but it was the only one that really felt like a classic tele.

100% I looked at all 3 and the MIM Vintera II was the winner, the U neck and 7.25” fingerboard was exactly what I wanted. I didn’t want a Tele with a neck like my Strat.

The Fender US varnish is special , it's a secret formula that's make a good glide on their neck .The price of the varnish make a difference too. After owning guitars on and off for nearly 30 years I just bought my first tele. A gorgeous Fender 50's JV Modified made in Japan. Why did I not buy a tele years ago? It sustains for days, amazingly comfortable to play with that satin V neck, and the variety of tones out of the box are fantastic. I've tried out so many diffferent tunings in the first week that I've never been able to pull off on a floating trem guitar. And the icing on the cakes was that it was 50% off in in Fender's Black Friday sale.

I've got thec50 vintera 2. Pickups sound warm but with less dynamics than the american one. Definition is ok and the outpout is not loud égout at least from the factory setting. In the future I will change the pickups. Neck is huge and its very good for chords and hybrid piking.

The finishes on a MIJ one is very great. Picked up a 62 Custom RI with the rosewood neck, and it's a hell of a great guitar to play with. I have more pleasure picking it up playing quickly than my Les Paul 50's. Depends on everyone's favorite setup, but I would only change for better pickups, the stock ones being a bit flat-ish most of the time. I tried a AVII 51 recently, it was crazy nice to play, but the only reason why I would swap them (and spending +1000€ almost after selling my MIJ), is because of the nitro finish rather than poly..

Really appreciate what you’re doing. If you haven’t yet, could you review guitar / amp modelers? I’m my humble opinion if they don’t have usable presets for the average musician. (No studio equipment). The manufacturers are missing a demographic of potential users. Thank you Nathan
@ThomannsGuitarsBasses3 күн бұрын
Hi, we showed a lot of different modellers over the years, please check out the channel (mostly the Guitar Check playlist will be useful). You're right, many of these don't have ideal factory presets for "normal guitar players". The presets are usually fx show-offs for pretty unusual and extreme sounds. There are differences and some of them are very intuitive to use and set up. For example we both really enjoyed the user experience of the hotone Ampero and the Headrush units. Cheers //Kris

I have a MIM Fender FSR Standard Ash Tele I normally go 10's but was swayed into trying 9's I thought it would not make a difference but it does. in my case 10's are way better. If I did a lot of heavy bends it would make sense with the 9's. The 9's seemed to give a higher pitched overtone then I would prefer

Beware shopping with Thomann. Recently purchased the Dave Mustaine Flying V which was received in a terrible condition. Unplayable high E string. When correctly tuned it buzzed in the same way it would if tuned right down. Bridge not correctly adjusted. Not set up or check down on the guitar whatsoever. Seems the rumour about this with Gibson guitars is true. The E string snapped by itself within the first few minutes of having the guitar. Not whilst playing it. I had to replace it and try to make a temporary bridge adjustment myself before at some point taking to a guitar store to correctly set the whole guitar up. The fact it was sent out in this condition is one thing. But Thomann only finally responded to my email enquiry after two weeks and multiple emails sent to them. (Replied fast before purchase when enquiring about the guitar but their priority at that point is to secure a sale!). For a guitar that was £2,069, and sent in the condition it was Thomann have stated in their response that this IS acceptable and offered……a feee pack of strings. Beware if you’re shopping with Thomann as you may end up with a similar experience. Won’t be shopping with them ever again.

it would be enough to read the specifications of each one and understand the price differences, it's that simple
@B.D-Hamm14 сағат бұрын
It would be nice to see an honest answer as to where the individual parts are made matterless of where they are constructed and thus "made." I personally suspect that most of the parts are far Eastern matterless of the badge. Dare Fender confess?..I doubt it. I owned a USA Tele that was no better than a MIJ E series. A MIJ copy brand was better than both. The best Tele came from a Californian boutique builder and seems sad that such an iconic guitar can be so easily equalled or bettered.
@ragwort33692 күн бұрын
I'm willing to bet good money that there's no discernible difference whatsoever in practical terms between any of them (or indeed between them and the CV Squire Tele which is my main gigging guitar these days). After all, any Tele is a chopping board on a stick with some rudimentary electrics, and it doesn't seem to me to matter much where something so simple is nailed together.
