There never _was_ a political party _"of the people",_ and there never will be. The entire point of forming a party is so that a vanguard can guide the 'strength in numbers' presumption; it becomes an elitist-ridden bureaucracy itself.

I don't think you are right about that ... it could just as well be interpreted as Listen Liberally, or Listen to Liberals ... it is a weird title though. Frank doesn't seem to want to be too partisan or use the rhetoric of either side ... Thomas just coalesced for me the notion that meritocracy is "the left's" version of rugged individualism espoused by the right: both seek to undermine solidarity to divide & conquer. However, if you're wealthy or a big business, then the government gives you cookies.
