These are a whole lot better than the ones from 2009, where they literally looked scrunched up, and didnt run on the tracks for some reason. This musical was a time when they took their time to add details to everything on the stage, like the track layout, the rolling stock, and even the engines themselves. They look so amazing, and the fact their able to change their faces with special animatronics, as well as not moving their mouths when they talk, makes me wish we still had this thomas musical. This was the thing that hyped up my autism when i saw it a couple days ago, and i still love it. Props to Dan Colman, for bringing this masterpiece to life.

I sometimes wish that something like this would be brought back, or redone. A live-on-stage show touring the US, UK, or wherever (iirc the US didn’t get many live shows, but I do remember going to see Thomas Saves The Day when I was little) with a classic storyline, models that can make steam and be big enough to fit actual “drivers”, in a full size arena filled with children who can see the Thomas we grew up with come to life and done justice. It’s such a shame that the stage models were scrapped, and the show not fully documented. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but the work that went into this makes me feel like it could’ve been something that families can watch again and again over time. Just like how I occasionally find myself listening to Railway Series audiobooks.

I got some heck of a surprise when I just learned the director of big live and all aboard live tour was in fact... Iain Lauchlan! Director of the Fun Song Factory and the Tweenies! I didn't even know about that until then! I mean WOW!!! He is the top of the show! He's a legend!

I’m sad that I never got to see the live tours as a kid as I was born after the year the All Aboard Live Tour stopped. And there’s no full recording of the Big Live tour anywhere at the moment, so I’m a sad, strange little man, and I have your pity.

Holy moly this is impressive. I never saw this since I grew out of Thomas as a kid, but this really took adapting a TV show on stage to a whole new level. I cannot image the budget that went into construction of the engines and animatronic faces, let alone the stage and the tracks.
