Good advice I learned a long time ago that a compressed air blow gun cleaning was a good way to prevent over heating.

Is there a way to change the spring on the pull start? I took the cover off and the cover off the cover with the snap ring and underneath it was just a rusty old spring that fell apart. Replaced it with a different one but it’s never wanting to retract. What can be done

I'll take that saw if someone wants to sell it.I can't think of a bad thing to say about those old Super EZ's.I have a few of them... love running them.

They are a damned powerful saw for their size. Thomas won't want to sell it...with the decompression, he can pull it over easier!

I can't blame him... great saws... as you say, great power for the size. Good vid... cheers :)

So can pressure wash them? If I cover up carburetor. Then air dry it after. Any other thing to watch out for? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is that saw setting there with a 24" bar? How many CC's are they will they pull and oil a 32 3/8's. Same power as 925's?
@LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair8 жыл бұрын
They look similar to a 925, but are only 41CC. This one is wearing a 20" which is a bit much, but that's how he likes to run it. 16" is optimal.

I am working on sever of these older Homelite's what fuel mixture do you run?
@LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair8 жыл бұрын
I run Amsoil Saber at 80:1, but for all conventional oils, stick with 32:1.

I have 2 Homelite super EZ autos that were given to me and one is newer and is kind of plasticy but the other one is older and has white and red covers looks like the one you are working on all metal but nether one has points and the coils are blue what does this mean
@LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair7 жыл бұрын
The blue coil is the Prestolite electronic ignition. It was originally used on 1980 & newer saws, so your red & white one must have been retro-fitted at some point.

I got one that runs good when you cut with it but after about a minute of idle it will still, any ideas?
@LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair7 жыл бұрын
It sounds like the low speed is adjusted too rich...after it idles for 10-20 seconds, does it blow smoke when you rev it up? If so, too rich on the low side. There's many other possibilities like a bad reed valve or gasket in the carb, but I'd start with the tuning.

Leon's Chainsaw Parts & Repair thanks for the Input I fixed it now. The low speed was a little bit too lean.
