The independent control he has over each limb is staggering. It's like he has a separate brain for each of them. Definitely one of the absolute best drummers (if not THE best) in the world. Again, I give thanks for you taking time to help each of us achieve a better understanding of our own playing. You're great Thomas. I really appreciate what you do.

Super happy to say I've been a fan of Thomas Lang for the past 10 years, ever since I picked up his Creative Coordination dvd set in 2007 and I haven't looked back since. Truly amazing man and drummer, and I cannot wait to see this man continue to innovate and perfect the art of percussion.

I'm a 39yo french canadian that LOVE your drumming. I wish I've never stop playing drum. In my youngest ages I was playing with my friends but had no technic. Now I'm watching you on that video and I decide to start learning technics. I really like that sounds like a double bass drum just because of the sequences all playing so fast. Congrat you are the best!!! Thanks for sharing all that!

Isaac dissonance Isaac dissonance Lang played masterful in Austria already when Weckl was not that Star on drums and amongst drummers he is today. I don’t mean this in any way disrespectful, i’m a big Weckl-worshipper, but i know Thomas Lang as a drummer since very long and i know even some American drummers who told me in ‘89/‘90 already that he is technical the best drummer they’ve ever seen so far - and they all knew Weckl then. But I think it’s pointless anyway to compare drummers on this level in terms of master/pupil.

I watch not all, but a lot from this drum-channel. Each time I am impressed of ths skills. But each time I have the impression that this is much more a technical show of technical possibilities, then a musician school. That here is very advanced but NO beat, no soul! Only technically! Nobody need that really!

I think he just looks at it as another approach to drumming. Dave´s focus is more on flow and sound than coordinating crazy subdivisions in odd time groupings. I'm not questioning this approach at all, each to its own, but I think Dave´s approach is a lot more musical.

Want to play like this? Practice, Practice PRACTICE.... I played for almost 25 years and only really played well while in local bands and had to practice all our set lists so I could play them without thinking, just listening to the bassline or lead and filling and leading as needed. And when you get to that zone while playing.... nothing compares to it.
