Thomas Mesereau represented Michael Jackson in his 2005 child abuse trial. Charles was the only journalist invited to take part in the fan-organised event and during their conversation, Thomas Mesereau expressed enthusiasm for Charles's work.
Mesereau spoke to Charles about the media's coverage of the trial, the strange closeness of the prosecutors to their witnesses, and why he felt the Michael Jackson trial was a death penalty case.

A massive misconception about Michael is he spent spend 24/7 with little boys....give me a break. He was a businessman, a family man, he had other interests ie he loved to read he enjoyed classical music. He was a incredible singer, dancer, if no one noticed he was out performing a lot of the time.
