Thomas Middleditch is my favorite improv comedian of all time. He's so much funnier off the cuff. For anyone who was turned off by this performance please listen to his appearances on 'Comedy Bang Bang!' He's one of the funniest people on the planet, hands down. I also do, to be honest But it's clearly not his best area which is not to say he's not funny. He absolutely is hilarious. He killed on SNL, he was awesome at 30 Rock and on interviews. BUT Stand up is about delivery and engagement. It's not a dude in a stage, it's the stage PLUS the audience. That's where Improv people fail, they're used to an actual acting performance that doesn't depend that much on the audience at all times
