Why is there pressure on comic actors to say they brought improvisation to a scene? During the cast chat at Google they said the script is so well written that they barely change the words. Bringing color to a script is called acting, not improv. I’m sure some actual improv does occur in some scenes and makes the cut, but why overplay it? I mean why pressure comic actors who just happen to be brilliant improvs into sounding like they make regular changes to a brilliant script? It’s unfair to them and dumbs down the audiences understanding of the real process.
