Good to see some people coming back to being Country, those of us who never left being Country are glad to see you back, I never quit fishing with my Dad till he wasn't able to go fishing and was bed ridden, then I took care of him till he passed away at 90, we fished, hunted, built houses, drove truck, ran heavy equipment, rode motorcycles together, I wish I had some of those times back, he was a great man and Awesome Dad, great husband to my wonderful mother, a great grandpa, a WW2 VET. I've never seen any one man that had so much in his life to give to others. I miss you Daddy, love your country son.

Roots are roots! How well this strikes a chord notwithstanding the fact that I am an Indian. American country songs, simplicity of the people who follow that culture, closeness to the nature, affection for fellow people, simple music, beautifully strung together word play is just too good a combination. It's a ride to a different world altogether. Indebted to American country artists. They help me close the day in another world that's simple, beautiful, natural, serene and nestled amidst beautiful nature away from concrete jungles ❤️

I quit huntin' with my daddy Guess I didn't make the time And it's been a year since I've seen a deer Had a smallmouth on the line The other day I hooked a monster And as I reeled him in I thought, "Man, it feels good to be country again" Huh I spent way less time in Nashville And more time in L.A. My back home buddies, they quit callin' Thought I had too much on my plate But last night we cracked some cold beers And cranked Eric Church to ten Thought, "Man, it feels good to be country again" Yeah, I love me some California But it sure ain't Tennessee And my roots down there in Georgia Yeah, they started missin' me And I wouldn't change the things I've done Or the places that I've been Man, it feels good to be country again I traded in my Silverado Didn't need no four by four Tucked my boots in the back of the closet They didn't feel like me no more But I dug 'em out and slipped 'em on They've been on my feet since then Man, it feels good to be country again Oh Yeah, I love me some California But it sure ain't Tennessee And my roots down there in Georgia Yeah, they started missin' me And I wouldn't change the things I've done Or the places that I've been Man, it feels good to be country again I traded sunsets with my wife For hours on my phone And even when I was right beside her I still wasn't really home But last night we built a fire Watched the moonlight kiss her skin I thought, "Man, it feels good to be country again" Man, it feels good to be country again I saw the light, I found the way home Thank you, Lord, Amen Man, it feels good to be country again

I’m from Europe and this has been my struggle for years… When I grew up my parents where in a country band. My mom is a singer and my daddy is a guitar picker. I guess thats where I’ve picked up my lifestyle. I love fishing, hunting and mama’s cooking. I always put my family first. I love country music and drinking beer with my buddy’s. I love fields, farms, the smell of freshly cut grass. All my tattoos relate to country lyrics somehow, I drive a lifted Silverado and take my old Harley out for a spin every now and then. But over here in Europe this lifestyle is very unusual. There is not much overall space so neighborhoods are crowded and country music is far from mainstream but most importantly, there is not much people to relate to lifestyle wise… Anyways I just had to get this of my chest I guess.. It feels good to hear a song that really hits home for me. I hope y’all stay safe and have a nice day!

Here for my dad who passed away 6 days ago... was his favorite song. I think he wanted to be country again when he got out of the hospital, but he never did. He always talked about things he wanted to do when he got out, and I feel like I need to do those things now

This song has helped me make up my mind to head home sooner rather than later.. I grew up in Fitzgerald and my sister lives in Valdosta. My ol' man is slippin' away with each passing day. I need to move back home and return to the country life I once knew. I wish I had never left Fitzgerald. The one who got away, got away because I left home, 'n' left her behind. But had I married her, I'd have prob come home early to see "That Ain't My Truck" because one of them "Boys 'Round Here" would have been paying her a visit while I wasn't home!! I do enjoy your music, but I loved your ol' man's music back in the day....well I am about 4 years older than him... I think it's neat that your children now have an uncle that's younger than them.......We know that happens a lot in the South.....whether it's from a late life surprises or new marriages!!

I quit my job last Friday that was keeping me from spending the time with my wife. Time that she deserved. We built a fire (we really did) and I put my arm around her and we just sat there in silence for what could have been an hour. I then turned on music, skipped just one song before this one came on. We listened, and she turned to me with tears and thanked me for doing what I knew I should have done long before.
