Thomas Tank Dark Side Knock Off Toys Ep18 Weird Steam Team & Train Wrecks

Thomas The Fake Tank Engine has some scary toy trains around. This episode we will see some of the more unusual clone Thomas Tank variations. To kick off we look over a Thomas toy train that has more impressive boxing than the toy inside. It's your usual fake Thomas rubbish with dangerous freight cars and a weird Thomas that's never going to impress. Then we look over a set of Take N Play clones featuring Thomas, Percy, James and amazingly Lady. This is a really weird set of die-cast copy Thomas toys. The box read on this toy is also one of the most outlandish stories about Thomas The Tank. The last sets in this episode are a mixed bag of Thomas Adventures, Thomas Motorized Railway and Thomas Trackmaster. This is the first time I have seen a clone / copy piece of Thomas Trackmaster. Seeing the adaptors to Thomas Adventures / Thomas Motorized track also surprised me. But to top this off is these Thomas sets have faceless boiler faced Thomas The Tanks. The boxing is also devoid of any reference to Thomas The Tank, yet the artwork and general look of the boxed clone how Thomas & Friends do their toys. Sadly one of the sets I purchased was already played with and there were track pieced that did not match the required train layout build. But that all part of the fun playing with Dark Side toys. The best Thomas fun was running all 4 Thomas Motorized clone trains on the layout. Because the Dark Side is all about ripping you off these Thomas trains can barely run on their own layouts. There is no fun in these styles of Thomas toys. Thomas Motorized Railway are not available in Australia, yet the knock off toys are easily found. Lets hope Mattel work on removing the dangerous clone toys from the marketplace.
All these nasty knock off dark side toys and merchandise are a strong reminder to us of the excellent quality seen in the real licensed Thomas and Friends merchandise, it really is worth paying that little bit more to have toys which are designed and built to last.
In no way can I endorse these knock off products seen in this video, they are low quality and often have small parts which easily break away.

The weird Asian pull-back toys are rips of a motorized mini set of Thomas trains that existed some years ago. The black marks on the top was a push button that started/stopped the motors. They didn't have magnets though and ran on a standard wooden track. They also had a light at the front that lit up while moving, hence the hole in the front lamp.
